Hi everybody, I might just have a problem that cannot be fixed with time...A month or so ago (when i was young and stupid) I thought it would be a good idea to weave the tips of each dread through their respective roots...well I found out a little while back that doing this too tight would cause that part of the hair to never dread, I thought i would just work up a storm of frizz around it in hopes that it would tighten up around that area and thicken to normal size...no problem right...well I guess the "too tight" thing was right...it is too tight and its not accepting any more hairs...so that part is seriously like 1/3 the size of the rest of the dread and i fear its gonna stay like that.

There is a different root that I worry to death about...it is like 10 total hairs and the tip is just like a normal dread...I have it banded with it's neighbor but I am wondering if this is all I can do.

Does anyone besides me decorate their dreads with just random stuff? I just look for things that are shiny and don't have too much weight...I have put a chain link from a pair of my goth pants in (like a piercing), pens and pencils during school, I just sewed a pop tab into one...I find it better than some real decorations...but then again my dreads are random sizes and i look kinda trashy so it fits

I had more questions but I cannot remember any right now I will post em if I think of em.

    Thanks much yal

can you try to undo the flipped parts?
how old are your dreads? if it bothers you too much..you could undo the dread and let it redread.

It won't come undone I can't find the groves that show me where to undo it. And the dreads are way past redoing :(. I will try to get a picture in a little bit, but for now-

Take the root by the top and rub it in your scalp in circles. works for me

yeah dude your kinda screwed. I did that to one of mine when i first started and you can still see how i looped it almost 2 years later(although its not nearly as obvious as it used to be). You will just have to wait a good couple months when that part grows out a little more then it will start knotting again just fine.
