Do you know Jason? Missing? Caroline T. or Caroline O. Ring a bell?

Hi Rainbows! Wow it's been a long time but I feel at home just being on this site. I need some help.

I read over at a website called Webslueths and there's a thread over there about a kid hitching from the 1995 RFK Grateful Dead show with a guy traveling South down I 95. The Kid and his driver were both killed in an accident and no one has ever identified the kid.

Was there a gathering in Ocala he could have been headed toward during that period? It was end of June '95.

If anyone recognizes him it would be wonderful. It's horrible to think that this guy has loved ones that might be looking for him. If he was family - someone here might be looking for him.

Maybe someone here has a better idea of how to connect this kid to a family - I thought Rainbow might be a great place to look since there could have possibly be a gathering down in Florida that summer - or if his family traveled with the rainbows or like - that may be why they haven't caught his image on TV??

Just a thought. Raibow and Dead Fans often fly together.

 

florida gatherings are in feb although some kids do go spend time on a few rainbow farms or whatever in the area, but if hes just travelin on dead tour he coulda been livin outta his car & homeless with no real family ties, but i would maybe try postin in a dead thread or something? but maybe u should try postin in agr too & on a few deadhead type boards i know someone might know

 

Thank you so much for your response. I knew that the Ocala gathering I attended was in the colder months because I froze my ass off at night - even in a puppy puddle of friends.

Good advice about the Dead sites, however his story has been posted at most of them - it was just something that was nagging at the back of my head about hearing people talk about heading to a rainbow event in Ocala after that show - maybe I'm wrong or mixed up - but I thought it was worth reaching out to rainbows to see if he may have any ties with the family or if anyone could recall anything that could help.

The guy he was riding with had picked him up hitchiking south - so he may have been traveling around and really didn't have many ties - like you suggested.



I guess the fact that I attended this concert and drove that route - I hate the idea that a brother dies unnoticed or maybe his family is serching.
