What's happenin brothers and sisters?

What's happenin people? I'm just a peace keepin girl from Wisconsin. Tryin to meet some new friends and talk to people I can relate to. And have a good time.

So I do a google to find a good "hippie" link for my homepage, and VOILA! I find this awesome site!!

I don't know if I'd fit in with young hippie or not. Certainly not "old" hippie, as I was only 6 during the Summer of Love in 1967.

I tell folks I'm trying to re-capture the hippie-ness of the era in which I grew up, but was too young to grok.

Anyhoot, there're many things I embrace about what I call hippieness, including a desire to go back to Nature, live with the land and on the land and my fellow earth creatures; enjoy myself, and let others enjoy themselves, and not infringe on others' rights; be kind to all and myself. Sort of hard for me to define, but I dig it, whatever it is.

My five-year plan is to finish college (finally!), get a job doing medical transcription using a laptop and wireless connection, build a yurt and a small farm on some land here in western Washington state, and become as self-sufficient as I can. Hopefully with some like-minded folks, if I and my brother can get along (it's his property I'll be parking my yurt on).

I've already been to the hippychat room, and was glad to see people using it, and I'm so looking forward to perusing more and more of this site, the forums, the many links, and so on.
