like when i get them how can i tell that they're good before i eat them?

and how do i know if they're ready to be eaten

like i've heard people say that they get wet shrooms or dry shrooms
or shrooms that are like dust or whatever

and i dont' know what the difference is between different strains of shrooms

i'm pretty much lookin for a discription of what i SHOULD be getting if i just ask for shrooms.

it depends on what is in your area i doubt youll get wet ones unless you know someone that grows them or if you pick them yourself

ive gotten powedered ones before i just ate it like fundip ive gotten whole dried ones too it just depends you cant say for sure and the only way to tell if therye good is to ask your dealer who might not tell you the truth or try them yourself.just ask around see whats out there and when you know your options come back and post it and i can tell you what to go for.

    i've had shrooms before

but anytime i had them they were chocolate covered caps and i didn't buy them
i was just in the right place at the right time

but now i've got a friend who's getting some shrooms and i was gunna buy some from her guy

i guess i'll have to ask her guy what strain they are
and i'll have to ask her how they were

but once i get the info on the strain i'll come back and let you guys know

but if i were just looking for some psylocibn what would they look like if they were just caps?

yes figured my answer was quite useless haha

you have to be quite knowledgable to recognize a strain with dried mushrooms . Theyre pretty much all alike except for size or cap/stem proportion. Chances are you will say strain hell be like whaaaa??? unless you have good dealers haha.

You are probably getting psilocybe cubensis as the specie. If they are vvery small mushrooms , might not be. But usually on the street is cubensis. Then you have different strains inside, like south american ,ecuador , mazatapec. Potency depends much on the care you give them not just strain.

you'd have to eat some serious amounts of shrooms at once to die from it, from experience it wouldn't even be possible because of how sick you would be. I ate about 15g's one time, by the time i was finished eating I was gagging with each bite...I read somewhere that you'd have to eat somewhere in the neighborhood of several pounds of shrooms to die.

There's another type of mushroom that is more poisonous, but those are very large caps and are a reddish color. The ones that are red with white dots all over, you have to cook those first...but I've never read anywhere of those being mistakenly sold as trippy shrooms.

If you're worried about accidentally eating too much because they're too potent then just eat a few caps at first and wait about 20-30 minutes and if nothin then maybe eat a few more. Or just eat all of your share and take what happens. If you're worried about over-paying, don't pay more than like 30-45/eigth or so. For some of my buddies, even that was overpaying, one dude used to get an ounce for maybe like 40-50.

Nah, the Red ones with white dots are not poisonous. And they are trippy mushrooms. Amanita Muscaria. They are just different, and you would know if you had them. Most of the poisonings in N America come from a cousin of Amanita Muscaria, called Amanita Phalloides ("Death Cap").

I was under the impression those Muscarias could make you sick if you didn't cook them first.

Eh, you should be. It's not too fun to OD on a psych. I don't want to scare you, but don't take it very lightly either.

As far as A. Muscaria goes, or Fly Agaric or whatever the hell you want to call it; it certainly could be referred to as "trippy," but I wouldn't put it into the same category. I think of it more as a poison for sure. Anyone who has tried them would probably say the same. Its your typical Morning Glory/HBWR to LSD argument, but the general consensus says stick with the real deal if you want to actually enjoy yourself. A. Muscaria is very distinctive and easily recognizable, so don't sweat that either. Like the poster above said, chances are you will get P. Cubensis. Google it to get images if you like. Seems to be the only shroom on the streets, due to easy cultivation and bulk fruiting. Thats not a bad thing either, its a fairly potent species. Read up on dosing and decide for yourself.

It may not be fun but ultimately it will be an extremely good experience. The most terrifying trip I had (15g's of shrooms, almost complete dissolution of reality, INTENSE nausea/sick) was arguably the best experience of my life. Sure you should be cautious not to have a total meltdown, but as Nietzsche talks about in his "Advantage and Disadvantage of History for Life" essay, fear of the future prevents man from ever even starting to move forward.

Just because it turned out good for you, doesn't mean it will for everyone else. I too have come away stronger from dosing high and freaking out, but I still say it's something this kid should ease into and not take lightly. I've also known people to change for the worse after high dosing psychs. Best to play it safe.

Yeah but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Drugs aren't for everyone is the point, but being afraid of having a traumatic experience will prevent one from possibly having a really good experience in retrospect. I'll agree that some people "learn too much" or have latent psychological issues brough out, and I'll even go so far as to say that in some cases LSD makes things worse and that that in itself is what causes the change towards the good (which is what happened to me during my first full-fledged trip), but I don't think people should like seriously worry about it. If you're going to be that afraid then you shouldn't be doin it in the first place. That deep rooted fear of the unknown is probably what causes some bad trips.

I don't really disagree with you, I realize that a lot of what I say comes out of me having taken a lot more than most people would need and having a great time and that i don't trip like other people do, but playing it safe is not tripping at all. There's an accepted element of risk when you go into these things, and to me part of considering doing it is letting yourself be scared, but if you're going to go ahead with it you should have already convinced yourself that you're not scared of doing it.
