Hey, my name is Mandi and I am a 26 year old mom, wife, and caregiver. I live in a small town in Maine right on the coast. On one side of my house I have the ocean and a beach rich with shells, rocks and sea creatures that my children and I love to watch and on the other side we have a field that leads to the woods where we spend many hours each day exploring and many hours each night (in the spring and summer gazing at the stars and watching the fire flys scoot by. My husband works as a lobsterman during the summer months and though I am Vegan and don't eat any of the catch it pays the bills. I work for a small residential facility that specializes in Alzhiemer's and dementia care as the House Manager. We are a revolutionary facility that cares for the residents with an "Edenized" approach to their care. We step away from the medical model of care and believe that each person, despite their age or disease, has the right to grow and thrive through their environment. I spend alot of my time with my family and in the outdoors. We do alot of outdoor activities like hiking and exploring (it works out well that they are still young so I can instill in them the peace, love and happieness attitude that I carry with me through my everyday life and was not taught as a child) We are also looking forward to spending the weekend up at the Common Ground Country Fair this fall it is going to be our big trip this year. In advance I look forward to getting to know all of you.
