eek, so i was using a tooth pick earlier and started pickin at my gums, and then i took a nap, and i guess i picked hard a enough and my permanent k 9 tooth is like loos i think, and it feels really weird to bite down. whats goin on, is there anything i can do to stop it from falling out, will it heal back into place, i can feel like a weak pulse in it, and could before i went to sleep but i figured that was just cuz i picked to hard. i absolutley despise the dentist, any help is apprectiated..
I cut my gums a lot with dental floss. I use ambisol to numb the pain. Your tooth probably isn't loose. It's just a nerve that your feeling agitated. I wouldn't play with it though. I would use the ambisol and take 3 IB profens. I hope this helps.
well i picked a LOT around right where the tooth/gum lines at... i remember wipin lots of blood off, it certainly has that loose feeling when i bite down, its kinda creepin me out, its not moving too too much though...not very much pain, just an eery feeling..
Try not to bite down for awhile. The more you touch it the more it will loosen. The gum will rebound back together like dhs said.
i havent been, really dislike that feeling, its kind of awkward though... ill do though, that ambisol stuff, would that help the tissue heal better/faster?
I think it did for my gums. I really would take the ib profen too. If your stomach is sensitive to it I would only take 1 now and 1 in about an hour. Drink a lot of water and eat a cracker or something so it won't irritate your stomach too. I can't take exedrin because of how sensitive my stomach is. Sorry for the book.
it doesnt hurt really, in fact i liked the feeling before i took a nap... its only there when i pay attention to it...
Well Fractual_, it looks like you've found your second mother. Heh, you know you're addicted to the forums when you ask here for motherly advice.
lol in that case, i have tons of parents around here. ive found these forums great for almost anything you need to know, usually pretty quick service too :H
If any time I have felt like a mother on the threads, this was the first time. As I was typing I could feel myself feel that motherly emotion.LOL!!! Any time Fractual.
it definatley feels way different to bite down, not stable at all. i can feel it if i put pressure like say half an inch or up on the gum. how would salt water work, do you think that would help it to heal by irritating it? its kinda starting to get to me, i love eating, and this was one of my nailbiting teeth(maybe its a sign i should stop that).
you could test the tooth by eating a banana...its not to soft, but its not to hard to bite through either.
i'd rather play it safe for now, im really not trying to go through the trouble of losing this bad boy...
Is there anyone there that could look at it for you? I don't think the salt will irritate it for long. It just might sting for a second, but that goes away quick. You shouldn't really eat anything for a bit. You don't want food getting in there.
well my mom is probably drunk and sleeping now it isnt wiggling much at all it seems, until i bite down or touch it... yeah i might be fasting for a couple of days, lol...
Don't fast. You need your strength for it to heal. Drink lots of milk and oj. Try and eat soft foods, like soup. Ramen noodles are really good. They are not the absolute healthiest thing you could eat but you look like the extra calories wouldn't hurt you for now.
