what is this movie?

it kinda reminds me of Vanilla Sky in ways but predates it

the person, a Vietnam vet starts seeing real weird shit, like really hellish things
and at some point he's in a bthtub with ice because he keeps getitng really hot or soemthing
and it turns out that the gov. fucked with the group of soldiers he was in or something

all I really remember, is it was the most disturbing movie I ever saw (at the time at least =P)

Man I bought this movie last year on sale for like 4.99, such a good purchase... I hated the ending though.

Seriously, the movie had so much going, that ending was just an easy way out...I wouldve preffered them taking the Angel Heart route and making it all real...
