Ok Im new to Portland Oregon and think I have a decent chance of obtaining a med card. What should I say/not say to the doctor and can anyone recommend a doctor in the portland area that understands med users. Thanks in advance.

First of all, how old are you, they're not gonna hook up a 17 year old with a med card, and for an illness just google medicinal marijuana there should be plenty of stuff.

good luck dude hope you get hooked up that'd be sweet

Well just to answer your question i just turned 40 a month ago so I dont think age is going to be an issue. Ive already researched this thru NORML and the state of Oregon and like I said in my first post I think i have a good chance of getting a card. Thanks for your support!

Look for a company that goes by the name : Compassion Center

If you have any paperwork from a doctor stating that you have a dibilitating disease/disorder, take it in to your appiontment to see their doctor. After you pay a small one time a year fee....on ssi or ssd it's about $20 for a card, without it it will cost $200. But you only have to pay $20 or $200 for everything...your card, your caregivers card and your growers card. Oregon now allows you to have all three! Yay!
    No more middle man!

I don't have their address right off hand, but they do have a doctor who comes into their office every wednesday to see patients for cards.
    Good luck.

Geez, lousie...if I ever give out the right information the first time I post, the world would come to an end, I swear it.

I meant to say look up: Voter Power in Portland, not the Compassion Center....they are in Eugene, not Portland. Oi.

Sorry for the mix up. :dupe:
