There are a lot of music fans in Seattle too, the shows are always packed......

One of my favorite bands from the 90's is Brainiac......my friend joined the band and they got pretty big on a worldwide scale until the singer died in a car wreck in 1997....definitely some interesting and revoltionary stuff....

I think it's Blind Melon. I'm pretty sure they formed in '89 but didn't put anything out untill after '90 anyway....so they get my vote.

    How about Alice In Chains
    or Stone Temple Pilots
    or Pearl Jam
    or Soundgarden
    or Rage Against The Machine
or the Red Hot Chili Peppers (They were out before 1990, but didn't make it "BIG" until then)
    or Oasis
    or Cake
    or Green Day
    or Prodigy
    or nirvana
    or WEEN!
    or Beck

honorable mentions: garbage, collective soul, soul coughing, faith no more, the toadies, live.......
