I just got my new pills today.
Lo/ovral. Have any of you ladies used this pill?

It was kind of forced on me. I wanted the patch, and told the doctor and the nurse that, but the doctor, I'm guessing, told the nurse to put me on that pill. Jerk. When she brought them to me, I told her I was supposed to have the patch but she said the doctor ordered the pill. I guess because I told him I didn't have insurance and I needed something affordable? It's a free clinic, though....no one ever pays for birth control there. So, I'm kinda pissed about it. Good thing about them is, they can be used as an emergency contraceptive(Not that I EVER plan on having to use them in that way)....4 within 120 hours and 4 the next day....and they're in a pink pack.
I'm hoping, since these are monophasic, they'll do better by me than Ortho Tri-Cyclen (Which she brought to me the first time and I told her NO!).

Someone pays for the medication, though. Which is why you were given a more affordable alternative. The patch, right now, has no generic version, and is much more expensive than the pill. They have to do what they can to make sure there is enough money for ALL thier patients, so often, you have to go with your second choice.

The patch isn't all that great, anyway. I've heard horror stories of them falling off, and people being allergic to the adhesive. You'll do OK on the Pill. :)

Most insurances don't even cover the patch. When I tried it it kept falling off andI did everything I was suppose to do.

hopefully this pill will do better for you than the tri cyclen did. That stuff just plain sucks. I stopped mine cuz of all the heavy break-though bleeding every few days.
