Sweety, Without a relationship, masturbation is about the only way for you to get some sexual release. Have you tried calling your friend and doing it with her on the phone if you miss her? Its cool as long as it doesn't consume you and you don't do anything else but that.
Twice a day is nothing. Unless they're 12 hours sessions each. But even then, just get some bottled water near your favorite spot. Perhaps a sandwich too.
