Just wondering if yours have changed color over time, i noticed some of mine are highlighting and some are jsut getting darker, and ive noticed from most pictures ive seen the roots are black and they fade to a really light blonde, dont know if a lot of people are doing this or if it jsut happens, and if it does just happen can anyone explain why?
Yeah, it's the pigment in your hair fading. Normally you shed your hair, but the mechanism that is the locking process prevents that. So, your hair fades and get's lighter. It's totally normal, and looks cool as hell. Also, it happens to everyone with locks, regardless of ethnicity. This one black girl I knew with 4 foot dreads had the last 7 inches or so this beautiful red-brown, but it was just natural fading. Nothing wrong with that. Namaste
yea my dreads are darker at the roots too, it looks sweet and sometimes it looks like people dyed their tips, but really they didnt its all natural!!
