hmmm... lets see. The Do's and Dont's of giving someone a tattoo unprofessionally. Let's think real hard about this one.

    1) DONT give people tattoos unless you have been professionally trained to do so.

That is by far one of the stupidest things i have ever heard. You know that tattoos are permanent. FOR LIFE. and if you are not professionally trained, you might ef up. and then whomever you are tattooing will have to live with that for the rest of their life and they might just shoot you for that.

i have a feeling a lot of people on this forum might rip into you about this if you dont know what ur doing, so get ready.

BUT. if you are still going to go through with it despite what everyone will say, my advice... get a gun. get practice skin. and get a professional to teach you what you doing. DO NOT just get a gun, put it together and think it will work out inking up the first person you see.

    On oranges????

    LOL yeah right...

Orange peels are much different than skin...different texture, different thickness...everything.

I wouldn't let you touch me with a gun if you didn't have professional training...and if your friend lets you do it...then he's as dumb as you are...

What's wrong with waiting until you're NOT underage? And making sure you get the ink you REALLY want, not just some crap that you'll have to get covered up professionally?

I know people underage that have gotten tattoos without parental permission. You just have to find the right place that's willing to do it for you.

Just a note, any place thats willing to tattoo you underage without permission from a parent is not a shop you should go to. If there willing to let that rule go whos to say that they arent willing to let cleaning standards slip as well.

As for home done tattooes, they are BAD! I have one I let my friend do on me and I'm not at all please with the result, it's always covered. Dont be a idiot, wait until your 18.

If your going to do it, do it right, you should care about your body. Dont replace quality with timing.

Seriously, I havea number of pal that trained as tattoo artists, and it took them YEARS to get where they are.... on real, live human skin.

Oranges, pig skins, leather scraps etc.... no comparison to the real thing. Most artists would expect an apprentice to have at least 2 years experimental experience before he'd consider letting them tattoo a paying client.

Like others have said, tattoos have an age restriction for a very good reason, and if you get a tattoo from an 'artist' happy to tattoo an underager without asking for ID, you are likely to also get a disease; these people are dirtbags. Don't become one of them.

Please don't try to run before you can walk; your friend will not thank you in the long term. If you want to get into tattooing, start building a portfolio now, so that when you are old enough, you might be able to get an apprenticeship doing it properly, cleanly, and safely.
