SOme awesome attributes of Kucinich: - Wants to end the war in Iraq right away! -Wants to cut down pollution! - Wants to END THE WAR ON DRUGS!!! -He's a vegan! WOW I LOVE THIS GUY! Hilary and Obama- just 2 fools...we need REAL CHANGE...we NEEEEEDDDD KUCINICH!!!!!!!!!!!!
The irony is Obama just announced his bid for the presidency in my hometown; didn't make it to his wingding of a speech though.
i'm voting for obama. i like his views and he's not white. and he has a real chance at winning, unlike kucinich.
Yeah, Kucinich is much better than Obama or Clinton. But let's be reasonable: he's not getting the nomination. As far as I'm concerned, this election will not deviate from the regular "lesser of 2 evils" choice; even if Obama becomes the Democratic candidate.
Strategic voting is one of the largest problems in democratic elections and as much I can see why people do indeed do it, imagine what would happen if people actually voted for who they wanted! I have to imagine because so few people do it. An example of it backfiring: There was recently a bi-election in my city. It wasn't in my riding but it was in the same riding as my two best friends. It was one of the few times when the Green party really had an excellent chance of winning - even more so than the standard leftish NDP party and the country was waiting to see what happened. So my friend votes Green 'cause she believed in them and then our other friend comes to visit and we ask her how she voted " Oh, I voted NDP 'cause Green party typically doesn't have a chance and I didn't want Libs or Tories in ". We could have both freakn' slapped her. If she had voted with her heart than by strategy the party she really wanted one have had one vote more of a chance. Instead her typically assumed strategy weakened both parties. I dunno..it's all such a tough call because the system is so flawed that it makes strategic voting seem like no other choice. Pardon my rant. It's been that kinda day.
i doubt the majourity of people who vote know anything about the candidates aside from what they hear on tv. and besides, barack obama is a badass. i really, really agree with most all of his opinions on everything. and a lot of the country is with me on this....whereas hilary is too liberal, and a conservative won't get the ticket unless they are extremely pro-war, obama is in the middle and is probably the leading moderate candidate right now, which seems to be what the country wants -- someone who will get us out of the middle east while not bringing wackjob leftist politics to the table. sadly though he will probably be killed. but if not... he's by far the best candidate of them all at this point, in my opinion.
