Yeah, most of the time I just ignore them, but the ones in the middle of a tv program are just too damn annoying. Especially four times in a movie, one advertising block would be bearable. But four, come on.
It's even more annoying when you look with which stupid ways companies are trying to make you buy their garbage.

Get a CD or tape player and invest in some good audio books.

People waste thousands of hours of their life listening to bad music and bad commercials on the radio.

You could invest all that time driving into learning something new that will actually yield some kind of return in your life and prove beneficial at some point..
as opposed to listening to paparoach tear his heart open just to feel or some other nonsense. You could become sooo much more if you just use that time wisely...

Advertisements are interesting to me. Marketing is probably one of the most psychological fields you could work in...

People spend a lot of time and energy figuring out how to trick you into emptying your pocket book on their meaningless garbage...and it's a very deep and complex art.

Leave it to money to inspire people... but you can learn a lot by studying marketing, about what makes people tick and what moves people to do the things they do...and the art of persuading people. It can be a very enligthening thing to study.

If you know how to sell, yourself or a product, you can be massively successful in any field you chose to work in. You can also be a lot more successful in your relationships if you know how to sell yourself and certain ideas. That's a big part of what people do really.. whether they realize it or not, people try to sell other people on themselves all the time.

I think sometimes you rather have to pick the bits and pieces out of what they're saying, no matter what they're saying.

I like listening to people when they babble.

Ads in free TV don't bother me. In subscription based TV, they do - you're already paying for it.

And nothing pisses me off more than billboards. Fucking city councils.

Billboards don't piss me off. I like having things to look at if I'm in a city... but mobile billboards do (as in the bigass ones sitting in the beds/being towed behind trucks)

Though I think it would be better to just put the ads on county/city vehicles and all of that. Sorta like how buses do...

Haha... all the people would be pretending they're Earnhardt or something, around here. Hell, why not just give them Monte Carlos, while they're at it.

Oh yes, there louder here as well. That's so stupid...

I'm sure I am at times. Especially when i'm having a little rant about commercials and someone else's gonna blabbering about spending my time more useful:

I'm not watching advertisements all day, friend. I already have a cd player (am I saved now?), but I also want to see a movie or show sometimes on tv, and you just can't watch an hour with no commercials.
I agree it's interesting how companies try to make their products needed and all, but not everything is interesting at any time. I'm not in the mood to analyze advertisments 5 minutes long when I was watching something else.. duh!

Actually, I saw one yesterday on the Aero Garden and I loveee that thing.

But I probably wouldn't buy it unless it was at a store and not on an infomercial.
