    i think it is "real"
my art teacher had an art book with all the different painted cats in it...

as far as art goes, i think most of the cats look amazing.

Cats have their fur to camoflage. If you go dye your cat bright blue I think that little bird or mouse or whatever is going to see it. >< Going against nature.

It seems kind of weird that someone would think to paint their pets--but some of them sure look impressive.I wonder what a cat passing thru a yard that had a painted cat in it would think.Probably scare it.Can cats see color?

whats the point of painting a cat? i doesnt even look cute. it looks stupid. just like clothes that you put on a dog... i went to a dog parade down in soulard and whenever i saw one of those dogs with clothes, i didnt think, "aww how cute", i just thought "how stupid! its so rediculous!". these pet owners are deffinately getting the wrong kind of attention.

The book is a spoof. The "paint" was photoshopped in. But people HAVE done this to their pets, and I'm sure this book is helping to put ideas into peoples' heads. (sigh)

I think it looks kinda neat, but it's too cruel. The poor cat doesn't have a choice. I don't think I'd ever do that.
