Hello guys, my name is Andreea, I'm 16 and I’m from Romania…I don’t really know what I should say about myself… The fact is I “discovered” the hippy culture a few moths ago, which you may find pretty stupid…By “discovering” it, I mean that I realized what this whole thing was about. I read all kinds of articles about them, about you…I was really really impressed by your philosophy of life, by your faith in people. You didn’t just stay home and cried, you actually DID something to make this world a better place. It’s not about saying anything, it’s about doing, facts! It’s all about facts…Damn, you “fought” for humanity, a peaceful fight…I loved the fact that you didn’t just think about yourself, you thought about the entire planet…the entire humanity and nature…the entire world…This thing is…I don’t have words to express how I feel about what you did... I’m not a hippy…I’ve got many many things to learn about…I respect you and I wish some day I’ll be one...a Real one…I’ll try hard to do something for this world…I know, I’m probably too young…But still, I can begin by listening and helping the others…Protecting the nature and everything that surrounds me. Loving the Universe…We are just a little part of it…We don’t have the right to destroy the nature… I know that the first step to change the world is changing yourself…We are the eyes of the world… I think hippies exist from the beginning of the world…And they always will…They just weren’t called “hippies”…..Hippie is the definition of Human. It’s how we should all be. Why do we live, if not for Doing something for this world ? We could do little things, but with all our heart and soul… I don’t take drugs. I never tried. Maybe I will. Don’t really know. I never had sex either. I’ll do it when I’m gonna feel I’m actually ready for it. Maybe you’ll judge me for that, and believe I’m “less”hippie cause of that. But I just don’t feel I’m ready for it. Don’t really know.I don’t think I should do these stuff just cause it will make people consider me “hippie-er”. Actually, isn’t this what hippie is about? Doing what you feel ? Being yourself ? I’m sorry that I wrote so much…I’m sorry if I said anything wrong…I just hope you’ll teach me how to do something for this world to be a better place…I strongly believe we could all live in peace and harmony and love each other and help each other…and stop being a bunch of selfish materialist people…I hope you’ll teach me how to be a Human Being. Andreea, You're an amazing person with a beautiful mind. Please don't apologize for writing so much, I only wish that I could have read more... You certainly didn't say anything wrong. You said exactly what you felt. I can tell that everything you have posted here is honest and true. As far as sex and drugs, I couldn't agree with you more. When you feel that you are ready it will happen. That is when the time is right, when you feel it. Always live life by what feels right. Peace and love.
