You shouldn't. Could you watch an episode of the Sopranos if Tony was speaking like an uptight lit teacher? Shit wouldn't be right. In casual talking you adapt to your enviornment and stuff. If I'm writing something proffesional and stuff, it's all formatted well, er good. But I don't write much essays no more. I don't need to be taught to write.
but you just said "ya" I spell incorrectly on messenger etc. I used to be a perfect speller, but I think that when I'm stoned and/or typing quickly it's so easy to make mistakes, afterall its only an IM conversation not the declaration of independance or a university thesis.
Okay.. To those of us who actually give a shit about using correct grammar and perhaps breaking the rules when effective or necessary... props. However, I don't feel the need anymore to correct people on there misteaks.... As stewpid as peeple sownd in there righting, i doughnt fiel its my job to correct them - its ennoying to half uther people messing with you're rigthing alot.
Nah, I don't correct people either... let it be... it just saddens me a tad... spelling and grammar are rather easy things to learn and rather practical to use. I write "ya" because I say "ya". Just like I write maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, because I say "maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan", and not "man" at certain times, ya know? Yet, writing "u" instead of "you" is very different. But yes yes yes, no need to be grammatically correct in any way shape or form while talking. I talk too fast as it is, I don't have time to stop for periods! But in writing, yes in writing... yes yes.
Yeah, some net slang annoys the hell out of me. 'u' is one of them that really gets me. I don't like NOOB or BRB either. How much effort does it take to type, "hang on."
Hmmmm..... what if the person with the posts you are skipping over just says "u"? U may be missing out on some important information.
I was prescribed meds when I was in high school, I took them for a little while but when I took them and smoked pot they made my heart race really fast, so I stopped taking them, and started selling them. I made $5 a pill, it was freakin great.. until my mom found a bunch one day and realised I wasnt taking them. I havent had them since. They did make me focused in school though. Cocaine has the same effect on me, too. It makes me all focused on something instead of all scatter-brained like most people. I guess cuz it's a stimulant, I dunno. yea that's right, I typed "cuz" instead of "because". I'm the same way with the fan and sleeping. I need to have the tv on when I sleep, too. I can't go outside when it's quiet though, because I think I hear shit and get all freaked out..
Cocaine and ampetemines have basically the same interation on the brain. They prevent the reuptake of a chemical dopamine that's always in your brain. This reuptake means it stays in the neuron (sends signals to every part of you) longer. Dopamine is primarilly your brains reward system. Everything from sleeping to sex to learning something new it will release more dopamine. It's also the precursor to adreneline. Like I said, I like them some of the time, but I don't use them every day. It's just when I'm trying to focus on something. Especially something repetitive. My friend is making so much money his adderal in San Marcos. Around finals time people are offering him 10 a pop, and he can get rid of them in an hour. He gets 90 a month so if he didn't take any, that's 900 extra in his pocket. Dealing makes me nervous. I have no problem buying, but I hardly ever sell, even though my doctors a quack. Yes, I'd like some uppers and downers please.
yea I dont think I would feel comfortable selling them now. At least not to the people who I know will buy them, they are shady characters. It would be a nice bit of money in my pocket, though, but whatever, eff that.
I correct people too and I really don't mean to. Okay, I mean to a little. I just don't realize I'm doing it until the damage is done.
I can handle shady people. I just don't trust anyone who I would charge for pills not to do something stupid, hurt themselves, and it comming back on me. More morally then legally. For my friends, I know they'll be responsible, and I'll just hook them up. I don't think their should be financial obligations between friends over small things like that. Unless your friends a total mooch.
the shady people i know i dont trust, and my close friends, well its hard to find a handful that even smoke pot (unless they're drunk) they're all like, "grown up" and "responsible" psh.
I was getting pretty trashed with the manager of my apartment last night. She was staying late to clean this apartment, and we started talking, she wanted a downer so I gave her some. I can see not wanting to be in a point in your life where you don't want anything chemical to influence your mood. But when I hear people always bitch about being bored who are completly boy scout anti drug... Seems like a conditioned response.
that is quite anal. i dont care about peoples grammer online. but. i do correct some grammer issues which have become pet peeves of mine, for example, when people say things like, "I did good" and "it was so fun" that really shits me.
Dropping adjectives is fairly common around here, so ''it was so fun'' would seem aceptable. But refusing to say 'well' is kinda annoying. In high school I had a math teacher who would always confuse when to use good and well. It was kinda maddening. She was also a bitch, so that made it a lot worse.
as a teenager i used to say, "so fun". but my parents ground it out of me to the point where now alarm bells go off in my head when i hear my friends saying it... last time i was in the states (2003 i think it was) i was amazed how every young person used "like" 10 millions times in a sentence we had the 'like' epidemic here for a while but it wasnt as bad as it seemed in the US. i think its been eradicated now though.
Like isn't so bad where I live, but I live in the middle of a lot of hispanic people who use 'tex-mex'. I can speak spanish okay, but they'll be talking in spanish and then parle into english and then back to spanish, and for some reason that's much harder for me to keep up with then people speaking spanish. We also have a lot of rednecks, and that's just some unintellegable shit.
Spanglish is one of the best languages in the world. You should hear me talking to my mom... I think we can go through 3-4 languages without really meaning to in the most basic of conversations.
unless i am writing academically, i usually don't care for grammar. i tend to make sure spelling is alright - sometimes i ask if i spelled something correct with "(sp?)," but usually i don't care. grammar, whats that? haha i like have long run-on sentences, or thoughts just change dramatically in one sentence...or i use "..." to just keep the sentence going, sometimes i use this bad boy "-" to do the same and separate a thought mid sentence and then resume back on the originial saying.
