I am going to quit smoking

I don't know how much longer I can put up with the bull shit admin puts us through so I want to be able to quit if needed. Any sugestions on how to make not smoking easier?

dont quit all toegether just start to cut bak and smoke less and less thill u dont have to smoke as much then it will be easrie to quit sry for the speeling maistakes i am stone as shit

 

in my opinion, drug testing is completely unethical. which is why I assume you are leaning in this direction yes?

 

don't be around other people that smoke.

 

Personally i went from smoking 1-2x a day for a VERY long time, to now just smoking now and then when it comes to me (usually 1-2x a week). I've saved a lot of money, it's working out pretty good i guess...

 

yah i know what you mean. soo much money gets spent on ganja. i think i just decided just now that im going to limit myself to 40 bones a week on ganja.

 

ya I want to be drug test ready. The few people smoke around have said they won't do it around me and will pretend to be out lol. I failed a drug test about a year ago and it was the most humiliating ordeal.Testing is completley unethical, but in social services all most all agencies do it.

 

I get hooked up pretty good so I prob spend about 80 a month, smoke the good stuff and smoke everyday. I have a close friend who deals and gives it to me for the same price he gets it. But still 80 bucks a month times a year is like a lot of clothes and the same amount of my student loan payment. So ya quitting would be cool for that aspect too.

 

why do you wanna quit? cause your getting drug tested?and why would you be getting drug tested?

 

Jen- i think I may be quitting my job soon so I want to be ready for a drug test. I don't want to try any alterants or synthetic urine I just want to have no worries when I take it.

 

oh I get it-no they don't test where I work now, but I am sure where ever I go will. I defintly have to stick it out untill the end of September so that will be a month to get clean.

 

LIMIT yourself to 40 bones a week? You are obviously kidding...right?

nah it's chill. for 40 i'd get a fat eigth like 5grams. plus my this one dude i always chill with always has nugs. it's so chill he smokes so many of us out everyday.

i'd be hard pressed to quit with friends like that.

 

What's the story with drug-testing for jobs in the states, I've never had to do any sort of drug test ever for any job or anything. What difference does it make to your company of you smoke a few spliffs at the weekend, once it doesn't affect your work and you're not going into work stoned.

 

I'm going to quit soon, too. I'm quitting for a month to get my head clear and then I'll decide whether I'll go on or not. I think the best way is to plan. Set yourself a date (Mine's 2004-09-01) and live up to that day, so you can prepare mentally... I now feel really confident I will succeed.

 

spacer, thats exactly waht i say. i can understand if its for the military or sports, but beside that, it shouldnt make a difference. hey, its america, waht can u expect.

 

I really hate people who aren't from America who base on it. Australians aren't know for being too smart ya know-feel good?

 

most australians look down on americans on intelligence base. plus, australia is like the most acheiving country in teh world with respect to our population and national age. (perhaps beaten by some european country)

ive been to america. and i hear about it heaps on the internet. Frankly no one outside of america really cares waht americans think of them caus no one really takes them seriously. at least with the groups i know.

all americans (im generalising of course, im not stupid enough to think every american is the same) know only about stereotypes and its a well known fact that most americans know jack all about foreign affairs let alone foreign culture. whereas msot americans dont see into the worlds of othe countries, the world is fed liberal doses of american culture. dont stand up for your nation in an international society caus youd most likely be put down for your patriotism more than any other country.

so yeah, please remember this in future and have a nice day, as you aid the economy that is destroying the world.
