Now, let me begin by saying I enter this kind of thing with a certain level of skepticism. But, for a good period of time, when I visit psychics, tarot readers, etc, and they've been surprisingly accurate (and not vague). Now, this last one said that my father was going to have a heart attack within the next year and likely die from it. She's the third psychic in the last month who said that. My hubby went to see a psychic on his own, w/o me knowing about it, and she told him that his father in law (my dad) was going to have a heart attack. Either they're all in kahoots or this is just trippy.
thats really sad.....but for the most part i dont believe those people. dont worry, im sure your dad will not die of a heartattack. be happy!
Blackie, you're check's in the mail.... I know my dad'll be fine, it just freaked me out that 3 different ppl said the exact same thing....
You have had them be correct before so if it was me this is what I would do. I would tell your Dad what was said. I would ask him to go and get a physical. I wouldn't be able to rest knowing all 3 said it. I would make sure that whatever you haven't said to your Dad you say it now. I would spend time as much time with him as I possibly could. I don't know what your relationship is with your Dad so it is easier for me to say what I would do. After my Grandfather died I really changed a lot as a person. I started seeing people and what they mean to me all the more clearer. I am never afraid to let someone know I love them. I pray that this does not happen to you, your Dad, and your family.
You should've asked me - I'd have charged only 4$... Seriously children, I'm sorry to be corny but St-John said it - "All you need is love" or was it George or Paul? Anyway - that is all that matters - love all, love always, be faithfull to what and who you love.
I think I will... if it were only one who said it, I wouldn't have thought twice about it... It's just so trippy!
Hmm....saw this on a Punk'd commercial once.....maybe, just maybe your dad is going around paying the psychics to tell you this. Or maybe, the psychic's are automatically telling everyone who comes in this as a joke. I dont believe hell have a real heart attack tho.
in my opinion, there is some truth to mediums, psychics i dont know about.i recomend tarot cards but they are what you make of them.dont overanalize the situation.take it day by day and try to change the pattern or cycle for your loved one if you can...........good luck
cerridwen, i used to read tarot professionally & am working on brushing up my skills so i can do it again; so just so you know, i'm speaking as someone "in the feild". first of all, i don't know what the laws are in ontario, canada, but here in the states it is illegal (not to mention unethical) for a psychic to make a prediction that can be taken as a medical diagnosis, such as predicting a heart attack. furthermore, it is against the law here (and again, unethical) to predict physical death. if we intuit it from the cards, we can suggest there may be health problems, but not give a specific diagnosis like that. there are reasons for those laws, some that i agree with and some i don't but the most important reasons are that a) we are psychics, not doctors. our talents lie in intuituon, not the practice of medicine and b) whether i agree with it or not, in new york the law states that we are allowed to offer our services for "entertainment only", the reason being that some unethical "psychics", rather than suggesting you take the warning as a signal to spend more time with someone close to you & prepare for a loss, would suggest that you need to give them more money to remove a "curse", or come to them for more frequent (expensive) readings to see if they can see any changes in your dire ill luck. i know i'm going to get flamed by atheists/skeptics over this, and quite frankly that doesn't bother me, because i've been doing this long enough to understand how the feild works, and when i sit down with a client i understand what it is they are paying for, and make sure that they do, too. in spite of the few occaisional charlatans, and in spite of the accusations of skeptics who only accept one narrow view of the universe, most psychics have a code of ethics that they adhere to, and when giving advice to a client draw fairly solid lines relating to what they will and will not do in terms of interpreting the symbols on the cards. the most commonethical guidelines you will find among psychics today (and again this pertains to my particular area of new york state; i don't know what the atmosphere in canada is like) include never, ever predicting physical death or giving medical, psychological, legal, or other technical advice they are not qualified to give (if they see illness in your future, a good psychic will suggest you see a doctor, not try to diagnose themselves). an ethical psychic will be mindful of the cost of the reading and keep it within the limits of what you want to spend; they will not stretch out the reading beyond what is necessary, nor will they give you partial information & then insist you come back & pay more to get the rest. an ethical psychic will admit when they don't know the answer. they will tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear. nowadays, many psychics will not do what is commonly thought of as "precognitive" or predictive readings; during the middle ages when the tarot had its origins, the avereage person had relatively little if any control over the conditions of their life, and there was a stronger belief in predestination. today, when it is easier to change one's life through hard work and effort, most people in the occult/new age/psychic community embrace the concept of free will, and the cards are used not to predict what is "going to" happen, but as a tool for empowerment & self-discovery on a spiritual level. the symbols on the tarot are not seen today as omens of destiny so much as symbolic tools, providing a sort of road map into potential, often based on the choices and present actions of the querent. the "outcome" position in spreads such as the celtic cross is no longer seen as fate, so much as the most probable result based on current circumstances. predictive spreads such as the celtic cross are used less often today, because they are vague & predictive in nature (although the celtic cross still remains a popular spread due to familiarity.) none of the information provided by the cards is seen as unchangable; further more it is acknowledged that the one with the power to make the changes is the querent, not the psychic. tarot today is a tool for insight, not an all-knowing oracle. psychics who suggest otherwise are displaying questionable ethics, and are best avoided. i'm not saying that the psychics you saw were unethical, although the diagnosis of a heart attack & the prediction of death would have been against the law where i am living, whether the pscychic genuinely intuited it or not. however, spending time with your father, and healing old wounds is good advice anyway, because no one is immortal, and all people are precious. i did however, want to give you and other forum readers some guidelines, and a little insight into how the feild works.
