Tips for crossing the US border from Canada

Next month i'm planning to go road tripping around with my gf, we live in Canada and want to bring 1/2 Ounce, any advice, I am f''''ing nervous.

Where should I store it so it conceals the smell???

Is crossing the border with m.j a bad idea???

Is there a good place to cross???

What are the chances of getting my car searched???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

 

You might get popped! Those customs agents use drug sniffing dogs! If you could find a rural entry point where your gf could drive the car across the border and you could walk through let's say the woods with the stuff and meet her on the on the other side you might stand a chance. Someplace like Maine or Vermont or New Hampshire. Only guessing I'd have to look at a map but you should scope it out before hand.

so you would say don't even try??? I mean what are the chances of getting searched? WE do not look suspicious. If we are searched by dogs, I was thinking of maybe putting the weed in a shampoo bottle or something so it would hide the smell, I hear that works well.....I don't visit USA often so I don't really wanna have to try and buy it there, to me that is even more sketchy than just bringing it...

If you look like a hippie or a stoner in general then you might have a problem, but the vast majority of cars go through customs without a dog ever coming near. If I wanted to take some (specifically from Canada to the US, our customs are so much harsher) I'd just bury it DEEP in my luggage, do some standard stuff like the shampoo bottle, and act normal. It's kind of a big deal to get caught though, so it's up to you.

 

o if your going across a rural crossing into the U.S. dont have the bud in your car. One of my dads buddies went across a border like that going camping and the guy made them take everything out to search it. The border guy did it because they get so few crossings so they search everyone.

Probably going through the woods sounds like the best thing.

Check out the entry point before you cross, some are more regulated than others. You know rehearse what you're gonna do. Don't go in blindly, Even cross the border without the bud for practice to find out what to expect.

In Washington state I crossed the border into Canada after they refused to let me in(no ID) I walked through the woods. Got stoned and sat down by a farm and along comes a cop and I got busted! Took me back to the border, got yelled at and threatened with Canadian jail time by the Canadian customs agents. Handed me over to the US Marines and escorted me back to the US. That's my story.

Some of the points of entry are not regulated, heck they're not even guarded, they just expect you to sign a log book and drive on through. These are the rural points of entry on the country back roads if you can find one. You should try for one of those. And once you find it try entering without the weed just to be safe, find out what to expect, once you know what to expect, go for it , proceed at your own judgement.

wow you guys have kinda made me think of just buying weed in the states, I don't want to go through the trouble of hiking through the woods just to get a damn 1/2 ounce across. Is it difficutl to come across weed in the states???

I mean lets say I get busted at the border? What happens, how bad is it???

I know that if you cross through Niagara Falls, you probably have no problem. When I went through there, the only thing they did was ask us for our passports and government issued photo id.

I guess if you dont have a passport then you're really like 50% closer to getting caught, they seem to be like an express way to get through the border. But honestly, I think you should just buy it in the states. If you're worried about getting ripped off, just tell them you want to see the weed before you pay up.

when i drove from usa to niagra falls im pretty sure all they did was ask us 3 stupid questions and possibly check my dads ID. no searchin of car, no checking of passports, just drove right through like a tollbooth.

 

Know anything about cars? The hands down best place to hide anything while crossing a border is under the hood of your car... well maybe it's second to shoving it up your ass... But anyways, take some time and scope out the area around your engine; I know people who have smuggle pounds that way. Just make sure it's wrapped up pretty well, maybe in more than just plastic bags, and duct tape it to a place away from any moving parts that won't heat up too much. It's pretty well ventilated and the engine itself gives off enough smell to cover any odors.

I knew a guy who tried to go through the woods with a couple pounds on him, hed done it many times before, ended up fuckin up his ankle on a rock and got caught by the po, im guessin he's still in jail, this was about 2 years ago, if you think its worth the risk go for it.
