Hookay, telling my parents all along that "oh im gonna be outta here wehn 18!" well....aint gonna happen. i need to stay there as long as im in college so my parents say [IMG] . Im studying to be a psychologist which takes 4 years of college, now im going to a community college which will be only 2 years. i gotta go to another school for the next 2. im wondering if i can go to the chicago school. and try moving in with a friend of mine. we get along so well and leaving home at 20 would be awesome, if get a decent job in chicago, and join my friend, could i make it in that expensive city without going back home? lol thats the last thing i want to do...

You could always squat, and that takes care of the rent problem... Or you could start saving your money now, and plan on eating Ramen noodles for a couple years when you live in Chicago.

You've got a couple of years to think about it, your goals may take a 180 from now till then.
A B.A. in psych is not a very marketable piece of paper. 2 more years= a masters degree, puts you the running in the job market.
By the time you finish High School you might want to be flute maker or ????
