That's a terrible game. I have a friend who dropped out of college because of his addiction to it (and pot)...

Funny story though. My roommate my freshman year of college (big obnoxious guy... great guy though, just loud... and messy, and liked to get naked alot, and a tad fat)... anyhow...

He used to play on WofW as a female character, and he would prostitute himself. He would have cybersex with male members for gold. He made a killing, and it was hilarious :D

I played DAOC (WOW before WOW came out) and when I realized that I blew off a night of beer drinking and pot smoking I canceled my subscription and vowed enver to play an online RPG based game evr again. My cousin wasnt so lucky though, poor guy

I like WoW... I play it more than any other video game (although I admit, I don't play video games a lot). I actually enjoy it, unlike most video games. Probably because of the communication with others...

Hmm... I guess I am not really complaining about it...

    Here we go:
I have DSL, and still get net-lag sometimes. :D

i was with a guy who was addicted. but he was also addicted to video games in general. i really hated that game.
but mostly cause of my cousin... blasting it all night. i couldnt sleep.

i've been in two serious relationships. both were with gamers. i kind of resent most computer games now.

I play a videogame every now and then, I even like some rpg's. But what I don't like about most RPG videogames is that a lot of the time it's only about upgrading, finding items and just make yourself stronger and better for the next quest/monster etc. That's just boring and lame in my opinion, I like a good story in a game with a beginning and an end.
I also have two friends who spend a lot of hours on World of Warcraft. A good storyline and an end aren't going to happen in WoW, you just have to get your game-character stronger and better and everyone's beating the same monsters. I also heard there's a new expansion pack for the game with an extra world, more futuristic races. I don't see the fun of it when they're expanding games just to add new things to keep people interested but pulls the original gameworld out of proportion. It was fantasy and now they're out of ideas and they're adding sf things to it. Ah well, I'm not spending my money on it anyway :)

i cant see how that is exactly why i love games like that. lol. you know, like from my point of view, your an idiot. i suppose, but noone here even knows the meaning of addiction in ANY form untill they've tapped themselves into the game Diablo 2. despite the fact that all the best items in the game are being duplicated (which takes away all the wonderful feelings of gaining that shako or ethereal breath of the dying zerker axe) it is still very fun. theyres just a point in your journey to godliness where your using the rares you found and all of a sudden your rich and have 20 high runes and shit. but seriously, like, if i pressed alt and i saw in gold writing "corona" id start feeling hella good. the thing that is weird about that is that you have to let it happen to yourself.

and to think there are actually sites that sell in-game items and shit. believe it or not but theyre selling feelings. d2legit makes me sick.

but uh, asmodeon. my advice is to not even start playing d2 cause your totally the perfect example of the biggest fag on d2. but dont get mad, im not judging you. im judging the fag dupers on d2.

Dude, i'm not mad that easily. I don't know for sure why you called me a fag though. A game has to be more for me than just gather items and beat monsters. And I'm not talking about interaction with other people, a good game for me is like a good movie (except that it keeps you entertained longer 'cause you have to go through the story yourself instead of just watching).
I'd never play Diablo 2 for fun myself, a few years ago one of my friends who's now into WoW played Diablo 2 and I watch him play it quite a few times. Same story, that game didn't appeal to me at all.
Also the same story with Fable (an offline single player rpg), which I found rather entertaining except for all that item find stuff. The only rpg's where it didn't bother me a lot are Knights of the old republic and Morrowind (although Morrowind has some other annoying things). I guess I like those two more because they take the feeling away that it's only about gathering and upgrading.

I tried to play Boulder's Gate for a couple of days... bored me.

The only game I can sit a day on is Civilization. That game is a God.

That's another perfect example of a boring rpg indeed.

In my opinion, you're a complete fucking idiot. Look at me "I'm the most hardcore purist Diablo 2 player around!@!!!! L33t h4x0r!!!!."

People here have had real addictions. Cigarettes. Alcoholism. Cocaine. Valium.

Somehow some shitty rpg doesn't really rank high up on that list of real addictions. You sound like a fat kid in front of a cupcake.
