Guys do you think this a cool idea? Also what are you guys doing on Valentine's Day?

Me and my best friend decided to throw a valentine's day party but it isn't really because it's VD, well it is kind of but the party is for people that are single. On valentine's Day, couples go out, have fun..singles do what? Nothing, well they do ya but you get the point. So ya we're gonna do this party and have some fun and maybe who knows, single guys/girls at that party might find someone . So ya..but it's not gonna be a big party, just 20-30 people.

So what are you guys doing on Valentine's Day?

me and a friend threw a singles party a few Vday's ago, it was really fun

whenever people call it VD I always think venereal disease. Vday makes me think of valentine's day though

 

I am taking me and the Hubby to Gojos Japanese Steak House for dinner then we are going to snuggle up and watch a movies for the rest of the night.

 

maybe see some bands...dress up as a pirate possibly...the usual.

 

I have class until 9 on Valentines day ): blahhhhhhh

Heh, I totally have a night class too, I didn't realize Vday was on a Wednesday this year. I have class til 9:30 or 10 though, grr. Meh, not like I have anyone I was planning on celebrating it with though

 

This is a good idea. It's so important to have a good romantic connection with oneself.

 

Hopefully a cruise on the bay and dinner there.... if that doesnt work out, dinner at some other nice place and hubby took the night off of work.

 

I'll be in Paris on Valentine's Day, wohooh. Not gonna do anything Valentiney though.

 

I'm taking the lil lady to Boston to a nice hotel, dinner and out to see her favorite band next Friday night. On the actually day, I'll probably cook her a nice dinner then take her out for dessert after.

I used to really not be a fan of Valentine's day, but with her its different. I'll take any excuse I can get to do something sweet for her.

 

I'll be nannying babies until 6pm and then who knows..

 

Singles parties are so great. It definitely takes the sting out of being single on a day the greeting card companies invented to make single people feel like crap (haha, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). We had a couple when I was in high school, both with heart-shaped red velvet cakes. One of those times, the cake broke in half between the pan and the plate, so that was pretty funny.

This year, I think we're going to rent a movie or something and cook dinner together. If he has to work that day, then we'll just postpone it until the weekend.

 

I'm going to buy a bottle of cheaper Australian Shiraz and some reasonably priced chocolate, then drink all the wine and eat all the chocolate...

I've no idea what I'm doing on Valentine's.... my husband has something planned, but it's a surprise and the tension is KILLING me....

I have Vday off I dont know what Im doing because Derek will be well on his way to Alaska by then sooo Ill probably hang with my girls or something

 

for valentines day imma laugh at all the people that abbrieviate the day as "VD" because i love the irony.

Also im going to avoid the mailbox, i still get Valentines cards from a creepy Ex of mine

And I dunno what I'm doing. But having a get together and calling it a VD party sounds pretty funny and just think how dirty you could make the invitations!
