ok, so i have a court appointment at 7 today. and tlel me if i'm wrong, but diversion if where you DON'T go to court and pay $50 and do community service instead, right? well apparently, according to my mom, this isn't right. we're going to court and paying diversion because we don't have a choice, but obviously we do. we can't just go to court and not go to court at the same time, that doesnt make any sense. when i tried to talk to my mom about this all she did was bitch and yell at me and say all i want to do is argue and shes taking money out of my account to pay for it, hung up on me, then called me again and continued to scream and bitch at me and bitch about how shes driving and can't be talking to me even though she called me. anyways, im going to court because of an MIP (and because of trigger happy authority). oh yeah and i just turned 16 on the 31st, i dont have my permit or my license, i start drivers ed in march, how will the MIP affect my license?
Rather than ask for legal advice from a bunch of stoners, sex addicts, all-around-fuckwits and disaffected youth...you could have called the court and had these questions answered. But no...you waited until hours prior to your court appearance to ask us boobs. Just a thought.
you have a point. but it was a simple question, it says something about 90 days before you can get anything from the DOL. im trying to get a more specific answer, really, cause the paper i have isn't very specific. most of the questions i got anyway i got cleared up.
you ahve to go to court? i don't know...thats a lot different than when i got my MIC (minor in consumption) - we had to go to court diversion, take a class for like half a day and pay $200 and we'd be all set, no track record, no nothing on our licenses...we just went to some building were the program was. but this was in NH possible outcomes for you - may not be able to get permit before your 18. you may be able to get your permit, but have to wait until 18 to get license. or those ages could be brought to 21. who knows.
yea, NH has a MIC and MIP...i blew over the legal limit (that was fun, i was laughing with the cop afterwards, he asked me where i lived in boston and he knew about my neighborhood, so we joked about that, and plus, he knows abotu norwich)...but yea, since i blew over the legal limit as an underage kid, i got the minor in consumption, along with 2 other friends. the rest in the van didn't drink...now, if the cop searched the van, he would have found an open bottle of bacardi limon, 6 or so unopened beers and empties in my backpack - that would have given me the MIP if he found that.
i have gone through diversion so i can tell you what it was for me. I will in massachusetts and by chosing diversion i was only required to do 20 hours of community service and 8 sessions of therapy of my choice. If i get arrested the bring this old case back up as well. i dont think you pay a fine, atleast not in MA
god damn i got lucky then....20 hours CS and 8 sessions of therapy...fuck that...my court diversion class was like 4-5 hours and we were done with it...got a nice little ceritificate of completion
