    ok....

toast your bread.....not all the way, just litely browned

get your garlic, chop it up. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the chopped garlic. When that's all melted, brush it onto your bread.

put your oven on broil....now put the pesto down first, then the feta, cheddar(must you use cheddar? i reccomend provolone for this here sandwich) on top of the feta. Broil it until the cheese is nice and melted.

Or, you could do it like good old fashioned grilled cheese, with garlic butter instead of regular ass butter. Butter up the bread(with the garlic butter like done above), get your skillet nice n hot, put down the bread butter side down. Then add the pesto and cheese, put other slice down, flip it untill all sides are nice and brown.

Hope it helps!!! Let me know how it turns out.........

ooooo put the garlic on both sides of both pieces of bread. maybe even roast the garlic first so it it spreadable. maybe tone down that cheddar with some provolone too. and dont be afraid of choppin up a sundried tomato or two fro the middle, maybe even a fresh basil or two. fresh ground pepper? some mustard powder?

okay well I used NY style jewish rye bread, butta, block of mild cheddar, crumbled feta, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper. I think it was a success.
