Damn son, I love alchohol. Im drinking on some Bud light. Its straight but not quiet doing the job. I found out that if you pop a hole in the top it goes down smoother, but its still very airy. I need some liqure to get me there. lol. I like Jack, I guess thats my fav but its hard to get, you know being under age and not having anyone to get it for yuu.

bigfoot barleywine by the sierra nevada brewing company....

third barleywine i've tried....very good but extremely hoppy, which isnt normally my preferance. i prefer avery's hog heaven barleywine...still pretty hoppy, but not painfully so....

i'd like to try some of the barleywines that are a bit more fruity and less malty...if i understand correctly the american barleywines are -generally- more hoppy than their english counterparts.

this is a style that i'm still not very familiar with, but one that interests me a fair amount. i'd like to try more.

also had my last shot of stolichnaya and a cup of chilled sho chiku bai....

the extra stout is great. i dont like guinness draught though. too creamy...not enough flavor....not enough alcohol....beh.....

but guinness extra stout is wonderful :)

you should give sierra nevada porter a try if you like the extra stout.

Or why not the Sierra Nevada Stout? That's more like the Guinness ES than the porter.

Im not a big fan of Sierra Nevada honestly. The Pale Ale I can drink, I guess, but I dont tend to purchase it often.
Tonight, is still up in the air. But Rat's thread got me thirsting for that Brooklyn Chocolate Stout :)

i've never tried their stout, and only remember seeing it available once. around here its pretty easy to find the porter, and while its by no means the SAME as guinness extra stout i find it to be relatively similar and more affordable. its just what came to mind.

someone who likes guinness extra stout will likely enjoy sierra nevada porter as well, even if their stout is more like guinness.

well, i like the bigfoot barleywine but wanted something a little less intense in addition to it so i went to kroger, open to either wine or beer.....

and noticed the classic sierra nevada pale ale....on sale....

6.19 for a twelve pack when a six pack costs 6.99? you better believe this made up my mind pretty quickly...i'm gonna stock up on this shit till the price changes back...

:) not in my top five, but very tastey, and totally worth slightly more than 50 cents per drink!

what type of witbier? sounds pretty good right about now.

i just had my second coca-cola "CLASSIC" creation of the day...and hey, i gotta say that coca tea just made as tea is pretty good also, and definitely boosts energy AND mood without feeling all gross and overstimulated like with doing a line of cocaine...i hate straight coke, but this stuff is pretty nice! been drinking far less espresso the past few days....

but it's almost 5PM and i'll want to sleep tonight before work, so i'll stop drinking any more of this stuff and switch to either cheap wine (white merlot) or some more sierra nevada pale ale.

right now i'm trying to decide how i should make my catfish i'm having for dinner. its already been seasoned cajun-style...i'm thinking i could bread it in cornmeal and fry it, or i could bake it...any suggestions? i'm thinking fried catfish with a little spice sounds pretty good right now....

tomorrow is a grilled ribeye, and i've already started marinating it with olive oil, salt, lots of garlic, a tiny amount of sage, a couple drops of citrus juice, about half a teaspoon of soy sauce, and a very healthy amount of black pepper.

i'm looking forward to it, but due to the coca i'm not incredibly hungry (though i could eat) and so fish sounds better than steak anyway...i'm dogsitting for the parents, and they always pay me in food. it's a sweet deal, i dont even care about getting money for it...i get free cable, consistant internet connection, they always buy me good food and have a little beer or wine around, they have a shower with actually good water pressure, unlike me, and i can do laundry without putting coins in the fucker.....plus i get to play with the dogs! only downside is i can't smoke my cigars indoors here...but hey, i can still always go back to the apartment if i REALLY want to smoke....a few days without smoking will save me money anyway, though, not to mention not heating my apartment or using appliances there....

mmm...think i need a drink. maybe a beer, maybe a glass of wine.....
