a friend purchased a Mazda speed 3 SP for his girlfriend from a dealer in Miami, we live 90 miles northwest of Houston. Jason's friend that was supposed to go with him cancelled out Friday morning. Jason was still going but would have to make the drive by himself. I met him for lunch and he told me about his friend dumping so I said I would go with him to help drive. yes, I'm that spontaneous. We left Friday afternoon in his Civic (a trade in) for Miami, arriving saturday just after lunch. Signed the papers, transfered stuff to the Mazda, had a quick bite to eat and left to head back to College Station arriving Sunday morning at 10. all that said the trip was a total of 2,600 miles and just under 37 hours driving time ! What does this hafta do with barefooting ? I was barefoot the entire time, only took a pair of flip flops. We stopped at a Appleby's for lunch in Miami before heading back, they didn't say anything about me being barefoot. during the trip, it was awesome and as always to fantastic to drive barefoot. boy was it cold in the early morning hours filling up the tank, lower 30's but not too bad. I did get some strange looks from people but no one said anything. oh, the Mazda has heated leather seats, man did that feel great after a cold step out the car barefoot. I got black soles, had a great time and helped out a friend. a short but very long weekend but awesome because I was barefoot the entire time. peace, bob
