ok i just found out that i need to take 20 mg of adderall xr for my adhd and i use to take 54 mg of concerta and i smoke a good amount of weed about 1 or 2 times a week i just wanted to know if smoke that if it would be bad after i take the pill in the morning.(il be smoking at night) thanks
i took 60mg of adderall xr once. by nighttime i felt like shit and when i toked up i felt a little better.
i used to be on that exact dosage daily (20mg adderall xr -extended release- which is almost exactly the same as taking a 10mg regular pill, waiting a few hours, and taking another...it just prevents needing to redose, its not like having 20mg all at once) and i was also a pretty constant smoker. i wont take amphetamines anymore, though, ever. they make me feel like shit. but not as bad as methylphenidate (ritalin, concerta, metadate) which is less powerful than an amphetamine usually is, but still has lots of side effects if you can handle a large dose of methylphenidate, you'll probably find the amphetamines to be better. 20mg Adderall XR is not a big dose, and smoking should be fine if you could do it when you were on the other stuff at high dosages. be cautious of any side effects, though, and speak to your doctor about lowering dosages if you think its in the best interest of your health (it really did a number on me)
i guess i come in handy i take adderall 20mg xr and smoke almost everymorning they work pretty good together and it helps u not be burnt out
i also heard alot of shit that when ppl take adderall and weed then go on wacky trips and would piss there pants and throw up.... so is this true?

I don't particularly like the combo (my heart goes fucking nuts), but I've never heard of anyone having a wacky trip or pissing themselves from it. Of course I just smoked 4 bowls and popped a 10 mg addy before I left to go play hockey today.
in my experience moderate to strong stimulants such as pharmaceutical amphetamines have some very negative effects on me, some of which were not apparent until i'd been using them for some time. for one it brought on a bowel movement about 20-30 minutes after taking the pill every time, like clockwork, whether such a physiological function were necessary or not, which could be quite unpleasant if it wasn't necessary. it would be delayed if i took the pill on a full stomach, but not by much. another big problem was losing weight. i normally range from 135-150lbs. (i dont really exercise too much and my weight is usually directly linked to how much and what i'm eating) but i dropped down to about 125lbs. which is pretty unhealthy for a guy my height and build. the overstimulated feeling i got was not usually pleasant...it was ok or even fun at first, but the novelty wore off quickly and it was not at all something i enjoyed. i got a dry mouth a lot, had even more trouble sitting still and relaxing than normal, and while i found it easier to get my schoolwork done it really didnt increase my desire to do so, and in fact lack of motivation really is my biggest scholastic flaw - the ease with which i'm distracted is secondary. the pills also made me jittery and sweaty, and if i drank water to help moisten my mouth and replenish what i lost in sweat, i would simply piss like a racehorse all day long. probably the most frustrating aspect of using amphetamines or methylphenidate, though, was that it interfered horribly with my sex life, which is unfortunate because the point in time when i was taking these drugs was the only time i've ever really had a satisfying relationship with someone....the pills would make it pretty difficult for me to get it up, and if i did manage to it made it difficult to maintain and perform. this is not a side effect any doctor ever warned me of and it took us a while to figure out what the problem was... when i smoked pot after taking these drugs, i found i rarely got the munchies. my high would often be much more short lived, and i'd end up smoking more, but it -can- be a good combination because not only did i not get the munchies, i maintained my powers of concentration and also staved off any lethargy or sleepiness. since i only had to pay for my pot and not my pills, it wasnt a big deal to smoke a little more. while adderall and other similar pharmaceutical drugs i've been given effect -me- very negatively, this did not happen until extended use came into play, and smoking pot only ever made me feel less terrible. these drugs do not have the negative effects i experienced for everybody, so you cannot count on it - it may as likely be pleasant as unpleasant for you. in excessive dosages the stimulants can have some really odd effects on your mind, but at doses of 10-30mg you should be fine in that regard. while everyone is different and we can't say for sure that you will or will not experience any particular effects, marijuana rarely has a negative interaction with any other drugs. it will not turn adderall into some sort of crazy nightmare drug, but i also wouldnt say you'll think its the best combination ever. some people love it, some people, like myself, really dislike it, so you never know. but it isn't going to be any more dangerous than either taking amphetamines or smoking pot alone is.

of course. like i said marijuana pretty much no interactions with other drugs of any sort. its will change the effects, of course, and significantly so, but it will not make a dangerous combination. if you drink with certain drugs they become far more toxic. for instance if you take an opiate and drink along with it, then its much more likely to depress your respiratory system to a dangerous degree. if you take some drugs with others, THIS can be dangerous, too. cocaine and barbiturates would be quite dangerous, for instance. marijuana is quite different, though, and can be used with just about any other psychoactive or nonpsychoactive drug. the actions are seperate enough its not going to increase the danger involved with using either substance. so it may take more, or the adderall may make you feel bad, or you may not get quite the high you want...but you CAN do it. in fact, you may like the mix quite a lot. many people love it. the adderall is more dangerous than the weed, honestly, but if you use both together then neither will increase the risks of the other. just watch your health and be careful and talk to your doctor if you notice anything wrong. doctor-patient confidentiality is a sacred tradition, and it is of paramount importace which not only ethically binds doctors but legally as well. pretty much anything you tell your doctor, so long as it does not imply that you will put others in any significant danger, cannot be repeated to anybody. tell your doctor you smoke, ask him or her what THEY think. i have a reasonable amount of information for a layman, and so do many others on this board, but i'm certainly not a doctor. its not to say the doctor will be infallable, either, but it may give you peace of mind to know what they think, and they may be able to give you advice, or a different medication or a more appropriate dosage. pretty much you just need to know that cannabis is not a lethal drug in any dosage, even if you become uncomfortably inebriated. furthermore it can amplify the mental effects of some substances, but will not create any dangerous physical conditions and will not cause any sort of brain damage or mental illnesses. any unpleasantness you may experience (IF you dont like the combo) will be temporary. you'll be fine in an hour or two.
I once took 270 mgs of adderall and after smoking i drove myself to the hospital. that was only once tho i had bad effects with the mix. besides that when ur comin down off that and u smoke its fuckin great. ahh hurts to talk about this FUCK

i crushed up an adderall and blew it once then smoked a couple bongs and drank a 40, that was an awesome night, i felt like i was trippin for a little bit, as far as im concerned adderall and weed make an awesome combo
i wish i could get some adderall. too much work, and mid terms coming up and my concentration hasn't been too good lately.
