ok so I'm almost done with the third book of the illumintus....and just recently talked ot a girl that read a book by the dude that wrote the divinci code and she was telling me about what it had to say about the illuminti and it was remarkably similar to what I read. So is the illuminati a fictional group that just gets copied or is there a smidge of truth to it? anyone?
NAMASTE A couple of people from my farm read his books all the time.I read one a few years ago and would love to read more but i keep getting told what book i should first read but would like to know from any one what is the best one to start with.O as far as what he writes as true well he goes of what is known all ready but not by many. And they way he shows you some of those hidden truths is realy cool.Makes you think.
there really was a group called "the ancient illuminated seers of bavaria" founded by adam weishaupt in 1776... now, as to this group of "illuminati" actually being the conspiracy behind all the conspiracies, well... gotta admit, tho, that robert anton wilson (& his late co-author robert shea) possess a wicked sense of humor, heh...
the illuminati are a secret society that control everything in the world... alex jones is a big believer in the illuminati...it's mainly confined to conspiracy nuts...but who knows...
Cosmic Trigger is a great book as well. For a Capricorn, Robert Anton Wilson is pretty open-minded. Hey GNRM23, I see you! Remember me from the Shroomery? namaste bro
I have only read the books one time, but I gotta admit, that it took a while for me to catch on to the way perspective changed mid sentence sometimes....then once you get used to it, it stops happening. Definitely a good read.
Okay, now I'm confused... because I have never given a crap about what "sign" someone was... I certainly don't believe that I should expect someone to have a given set of traits just because he was born at a certain point of a certain month... I think that's pretty absurd. But soooo many people seem to put stock in it. And then, ironically, all I seem to read is, "So and so is pretty this or that in spite of being a ______." Seems the exception is to the rule is so common that a thinking person would realize there really isn't a rule. But as far as "pretty open-minded for a Capricorn..." Isn't expecting a person whom you've never even met to fit into a preconceived mold ITSELF rather closed-minded? Do you really think that if you get to know me better, you'd have a better-than-one-in-twelve chance of guessing my sign?? Maybe the "astrology people" are the ones whose minds need to relax their grip on this tenuous "science." Blue skies, -Jeffrey
real or fictitious, or something in between, I don't know but the Illuminati fiction made (for me) a compelling read... Just finished Angels and Demons which I kept reading-- despite my dislike for its style-- because of the interesting content. Great descriptions of art and Vatican City. DaVinci Code was better.
