We are going to Outer Banks North Carolina several times this summer. We used to encounter a lot of fellow nudists on Ocracoke Island near the Pony Pens and on Pea Island in the wildlife refuge beaches. We noticed the Pea Island area has signs specifically banning nudity.

We would still like to enjoy textile free sunning and playing on remote Hatteras and Ocracoke shoreline. Does anyone else still practice naturism in this area?
We would love to hear from you. tommz47@yahoo.com

I've never been to the Outer Banks, but I did once strip off at Bird Island, which is near Calabash, North Carolina, and marks the northern end of Myrtle Beach. The state line cuts right through the clothing-optional area, so I can say truthfully that I've walked naked from one Carolina to another.
