Your Local Head Shop...

So, even if there isn't one local, almost everybody has a favourite head shop... right? I live in a tiny town full of old people and stuff, so we don't have one here. My favourite is called Holy Smoke and it's in Nelson... about an hour and a half away.

Anyway, the question here is... does your favourite/local head shop allow smoking inside the shop or anywhere around it? Are there "designated smoking areas" outside on the property or anything? At Holy Smoke, they allow smoking in the shop (and a lot of the time, just walking into the place to browse means you're "in the circle") and there's a small public garden to the left of the shop with all kinds of cool plants, a little pond, rock set-ups, benches and trails. They also have a small cafe' (I don't know if it's open right now) and they allow smoking in there... NO tobacco, you get the point. Their main goal is for it to be more accepted, even if they can't get it legalized... and I think they've done that. Nobody seems bothered by the fact that they smoke in their shop, in the cafe and in the gardens. They've been raided a couple times over the years, but they just don't give up. I've smoked up with them a few times, and they've got some good shit. No wonder they just don't care.

 

hahahaha thats so cool dude! that would def be my favorite if I lived near there. I dont have any near me. but in key west, there was this little booth thing, I loved that place. Tons of everything you could ever want, it was great, little glass pipes for five bucks, stone pipes for even cheaper, one hitters, bongs, bubblers, everything!

 

That sounds awesome! I would love to be able to go to a place like that and just chill. Sounds like a bunch of good people.

 

They sold weed/hash for a while, but then they got busted... not like that phases them. The cops basically attacked the guy (one of the owners) in the alley right after he closed the shop. They did it to keep the matter "out of the public eye" ... he started screaming as loud as he could to get people to look out their windows, etc. so he would have plenty of witnesses. They're not stupid. Last time I was in there, there was a baby goat on a leash... don't know whose it was, but I didn't notice it until it started trying to nibble the random things that hang from my purse, haha. So as bizarre as it sounds, I was petting a VERY friendly baby goat, smoking up with strangers, and they said that their customers will know when they're selling again when they re-open the cafe and people are allowed to smoke in there. I'm guessing that'll come back this Spring... I sure hope so.

 

My favourite Hed shop is in Chester. It's called Herman's Supplies Ltd. and had a large selection of bongs, pipes, clothing, posters, jewellery, cannabis seeds, herbal highs, rolling accessories, Salvia varieties and all kinds of stuff.
Also, the staff know everything about legal highs and can give you the full facts on experiences before you take them, and recommendations of what to do while on them, etc.
They used to sell Magic Mushrooms, at 3 different strengths. I used to eat so many shrooms from there I must of spend well over 300 quid on them. Good times!

 

wow all these stories are making me realize how much my local shop sucks haha expensive, can't smoke there, don't sell any herbal stuff, just like pipes and stuff. Kinda lame.

there are 3 here in town. one has lots of stuff(expressions), but the people are dicks and they sell shitty thin pieces. another one (buddhas belly) has a skateshop and alot of cloths and some pretty good glass, but some of the people that work there always card. my favorite (althea's attic) has less glass, but its all high quality and really thick, andd also locally blown. they have a bunch of clothes and hippy stuff there. there are some couches to sit on and play card games and stuff. and the dude that owns it is really nice and cool, we can sit and talk with him about cars, surfing, local festivals and other stuff. hes a good surf buddy too. but you cant smoke inside the store, but he has no problem with people going out back and smoking.

 

I've been to HOLY SMOKE in Nelson!!! Great headshop...but in my area, my favourite headshop by far is called Roach-O-Rama. they too have a Cafe, which is located in the back of the store, and is called The Hot Box Cafe. People are allowed to smoke weed in there, and they also have a patio out the back called the "Potio" and you can smoke weed there too. The store has an amazing selection of any kind of smoking paraphenillia, like pipes and bongs and w/e, along with alot of salvia and pot seeds. GREAT trippy chill atmosphere.
