    Alright... here's the story...

I perform with my school's winter drumline, and now we're in the travelling/competing phase after 3 months of practice. Travelling every weekend doing 2-3 shows in the weekend until the third week of April. The theme of the show is based on electricity, so we're supposed to look like we just stuck our fingers in a socket. It's weird, and probably doesn't make any sesne without seeing the show, but it's a cool theme, trust me. So since we're supposed to look like that, our hair has to be sticking up on end. Since I have the longest hair out of anyone there, this was quite a challenge, but we were able to put it in cornrolls, then into a bun on top of my head, and spike it from there with orange gel. (Pretty cool really, but I look like a freakin' peacock!) Now, my hair is THIN THIN THIN and breaks so easily, and now I feel like I need a hammer to get it back to anything resembling hair. I have trouble not damaging my hair when I put it in a ponytail, let alone making it look like the back end of a peacock. Does anyone have any advice of products I can use taht will help keep my hair from completely spiltting? I'm worried that it's gonna be so damaged by the end of the season that I'm gonna have to cut it, which I really don't want to do... Plus I already damage my hair with a flatiron, and I know that can't be helping...

Anyone know of any wonder products that could save my hair from possible destruction over the course of the next 2 and a half months?

Do you currently use a shampoo/conditioner for dry or damaged hair?
That's what I use and it has helped SOOOOOO much since I started using it. I tend to leave my conditioner in while I shave my pits and legs so it can soak in some moisturizing goodness. There are also intensive conditioners you can try, though I haven't had a ton of experience with 'em personally. I use a brand called "back to basics" that I can only find in salons, but it's so good for my hair and it smells delicious

aveda sap moss shampoo and biolage smooth conditioner and a deep conditioner once a month. If you use the deep conditioner more than once a month it will cause the proteins to break down.
I went platinum blonde last summer and it fried my hair. I figured out the above shampoo/conditioner combo and my hair is healthy finally, so much so that I am growing it long when before I couldn't stand having long hair.

also make sure the hair products you are using to make your hair spikey are alchohol free. I use wax at my ends and on my bangs. I am guessing it would work for what you are talking about as well.
