I’m Christy, and I’m kind of new to the forum, but I was curious if anyone here are big fans of The Holmes Brothers? One of my favorite blues artists, Kemp Harris, is coming out with a new CD on March 13th . The new recording is called “Edenton” and I read on MySpace that The Holmes Brothers are special guests on it…so I wanted to share it with you all. I’ve been following Kemp since his first album in 2002 “Sometimes in Bad Weather.” Does anyone remember that album? If not and if you are curious about what Kemp’s style is like, to me it has this great old-time meets contemporary blues feel to it. But I’m curious as to what you think as I am a relatively new blues music enthusiast.
