I just thought that ya'll would like to know what happened in chicago.. there was this tour bus..that drove over a bridge... they proceeded to dump thier waste as they crossed the bridge over the chicago river (btw there are like grates in these bridges) there was a ferry underneath.. all the people got covered in 70 gallons of human waste... GUESS WHO DID IT DMB can u believe that..i am appauled...they could have waited....yeah i'm sure they didn't know there were people underneath..but that is still wrong..i thought they were enviormentalists....wtf is wrong w/ our world...i also hate how dmb is doing a anti-bush tour..fuck that shit... DMB just lost alot of fans in the chicagoland area today........

this is a very..interesting..thread. and bush does suck. and dmb rocks, you cant deny that have talent. it dosnt add up though. Very sad. But since I'm full of conspiracy theories, I've thought two up already: Stefan said he wasn't driving the bus when this happened, and because for some reason I imagine that perhaps they would hire someone to drive for them rather than drive themselves around, maybe they really didn't have anything to do with it. Maybe it was whoever was driving for them, and they might not have even been on the bus. I don't know because I wasn't there, but I have seen empty tour buses driving around Philly before, so I guess it is possible. But they are cooperating with the police, so we'll see what comes of it. I mean if they have proof that they weren't even there, that would be encouraging. That isn't so far fetched I don't think. I have one theory though that could be way out there: knowing that DMB is doing this whole anti Bush tour thing (which I have not been in favor of from the beginning) with a bunch of other bands/singers, and because he is very vocal about the environment etc, perhaps someone "stole" or the bus company had someone take the bus and do this when they knew there would be a FERRY in a public tourist spot so that the bus would be seen, and recorded, just to make them look bad. I personally don't think that is too far fetched either, but I know a lot of you here will simply because you hate DMB. Which is entirely up to you to believe what you want. Hell, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt just because I like them. Hopefully it will all turn out and I won't have to smash my CD's and write them nasty letters.

firstly i don't see what any of this has to do with them being anti-bush. And it seems kinda dumb to me to base your entire judgement of the band and their music on one stupid accident. Also, as far as i know, the band have never broadcast any of their political leanings during a concert... so i don't know what that person was raving about. In fact, i've heard several times in interviews that they flat out avoid being political during a show. DMB are not Pearl Jam.... repeat, they are NOT Pearl Jam. It's probably just the "lets get the celebrity cos they're rich and it'll make interesting news" phenomenon again. Oh and the driver's name is Stefan A. Wohl.
LOL peach! That is why I posted the two links... apparently some people will believe anything, with no proof. They didn't have any political messages at any of the shows I was at this year or any other year, the last one I was at was May in Camden, NJ. Right after that is when they announced on Good Morning America that they were doing the Vote for Change tour, with plenty of other artists, some of which I would consider bigger than DMB. Someone pointed out on another message board, that the only difference between what they supposedly did and what huge corporations do all of the time is that they only dumped 800lbs, when people could see them, and huge corporations do it at night when no one is looking and they dump millions upon millions, then have someone cover it up for them. Of course, if DMB did this they are still in the wrong, because first of all it isn't necessary, they could have found a place to dump that was legal and sanitary and they should be more concerned about the environment, none of them are dumb, they knew what would happen if they dumped it in the river. See that is the problem, I simply cannot believe that DMB did this because they do believe in protecting the environment and they are not stupid. They would have to know that people would see them in the middle of the day. DUH! Plus, why would Stefan be driving when they have had a driver for years? I really do think that there is something else going on here. However peach, if they did do this, I really don't think it was a stupid mistake and I will have to question whether or not I can even say I have any respect for them anymore. And I do believe it was very politically motivated... to make DMB and democrats and their followers everywhere look bad.
well..i know what i heard from my father...and he doesn't lie...so i can't spell anyways...it doesn't matter they as a whole..i don't know which one in particular did do it..and that's a fact..
Oh Rar, I wasn't trying to say that your father was lying to you, dear. I was saying that none of these reports have proven anything yet. All of the information isn't clear and we haven't got all of the facts. You can't say someone is guilty of something without any hard facts. So far we have some people who have the license plate of a tour bus. That does not mean that any members of the band knew anything about what happened or had anything to do with it. That is why I'm waiting for the band to come out and say something, and that is why I keep saying that I hope they are innocent of these charges, because I don't want to have to turn my backs on them, but I will. But I'm not jumping to conclusions like everyone else. And don't be proud of the fact that you can't spell. I really get sick of people saying that. A typo is one thing, but spelling is really quite important. I know a lawyer who has fired at least 2 dozen secretaries for not being able to spell or use spell check properly. You won't get far without spelling skills.
well...i heard on the news tonight that now the band is saying that they were on the bridge , but it wasn't them... i "heard" that they have cameras on that bridge cuz it's one that goes up ??? that's not fact.... well, about the spelling...i cannot spell...for real...but i do write in legal medical charts...I work in a dental office and perform procedures on patients and also have to write what the doctor does too...and i spell stuff wrong all the time..he doesn't seem to care...cuz u really can't read it anyways... like the other day i was tring to write marginal and kept writing margarine...or something...lol it was funny....but..i have a great career and i cannot spell...
