does anyone know roughly how much it is to climb a mountian with a professional and cost of sluppies? ive always wanted to climb a mountian like in vermont or colorado? im sorry for the bad spelling
rock climbing is not fun. but, regardless of what i think, http://www.rockclimbing.com/ that site has alot of info on it
right now, in VT would be a great time to go up a mountain. good chances for some ice climbing and rappeling and cross country skiiing. its a bit cold, but its still fun. don't know how much it would be for a professional to guide and assist in the climb though
about 50-200 for a day or two-day one night trip depending on the amount of people in your group. I wish I wasn't afraid of height I love climbing the simulation walls.
it seems like a really good accomplishment that one could make. im really ant to do it, but i want to do so many things...i want to bungee jump and go skydiving but all of my friends are too chicken...i cant wait. i hope i really do follow through and do... and indian~summer, i kick some rocks butts for ya if i do.
well a mountain in VT is a whole different monster than one in CO. In VT, even the highest mountains can be "climbed" on foot without any sort of gear besides boots, although it might be a workout. Mt. Stratton near burlington is the highest. You can also try the white mountains in NH and attempt Mt. Washington, but beware of the wind. Katadhin in Maine is also worth it. You can probably find a group to go with who will take you there, take care of whatever permits you might need , etc but it isn't necessary. Go in the summer, late spring, or early fall. In CO you can find mountains on the order of those in VT and then you can find ones three times taller that people die on and you'd need to be experienced and/or with an expensive guiding party. Stay in VT, my friend, it's beautiful and you won't die.
hey i just read that you want to bungy jump and skydive as well as mountain climb....well you know where you should go then? NEW ZEALAND! they invented the bungy and have a huge variety of em, in gorges, off bridges, etc. and they do plenty of skydiving, too. I did both while i was there. And they have mountains galore. watch lord of the rings and you'll see what i mean heh. just go there, you won't regret it
That's one of the many many many reasons why I wanna go to New Zealand. I really like rock climbing but unfortunately there aren't that many places to go to where I live. And the scenery definitely isn't as pretty! Never done skydiving but that's something I really wanna do someday also. I've done three bungee jumps but only from those tower thingies (150m, 180m and 200m) so variety sounds pretty good.
