8mm now =D which im not sure in gauges but i think its about a 0 goin up to a 10mm in about 2 weeks and gettin my right lobe pierced and then im stretchin that cos i feel really one sided lol
one tip i got while streatching my lobes, was to wait until the inside of the hole isnt shiny anymore before streatching again... seems to be good advice to me... i cant wait until i turn 18, since i want to streatch my lobes bigger and i promised my mom i would wait until then to do it
caelynn that seems like a good way to me? i usually just wait untill theres no pain at all when i take the plug in and out and it feels a bit looser its worked so far btw ur dreads look beautiful
ok well im up to a 10mm now which according to a chart i found on a website is bigger than a 00g im probably gonna go up to about 15mm i was talkin to a guy the other night with 35mm stretches they were awesome he could fit his fone in them :| anyhoo yeh
I have started stretching again...I'm only at a 14g now. It's ok to laugh. Anyway, Mellow, I was thinking...I'd feel so one sided and that's soo what you said. LOL How's the stretching going everyone??
I'm still sittin at a 2g... Not sure how soon I want to go up. I can do it anytime, really - but I probably won't go further than a 0g, so this is my last stretch. I so enjoy the sensation I don't want to just do it and know that it's over! Plus, I haven't gotten around to making any 0g plugs. Maybe I should work on that today, so I'll have 'em around....
lol hummblebee! 0g? You wont last you'll go bigger! I said I was going to stop at 2g, then it was 0g, then it was 000g, now I'm at a half inch planning on going up to 1 inch, and I know I wont last I'll go higher if I can!
I had my cartilages pierced at a 14 g. im leaving my industrial at 14 g but the conch is going to 10 g pretty soon. Im stretching my lobes up to a 6 g.
lol, yeah, I still haven't gotten around to making any new plugs. I really don't think I'll go past 0g... *maybe* 00g, but I really don't see myself going any farther. I just want more holes in my ears... (again, this is dependent on my getting more plugs done, because I'm going to be "working something out" with a local shop). I definitely need to do something next time I'm able to work, but my studio's too cold to do anything this week.
yea, i just started stretching a few weeks ago and am about to put my 12s in... Whats the largest size I can go to with hopes of them growing back to a 16 or an 18 once I take them out?
I've had my 10s in for about a week. they're so cute. I think i'm gonna go to the shop and get some like actually metal things to put in there. I saw some cute hooks so i might go check them out...
I was at an 8 at one point, had them in for about 3-4 months. Took them out went right back down to a 18. Im now at a 4. And happily staying there. But then again, it all depends on how stretchy your ears are compaired to mine. You might not go back down to an 18, you could only go back down to like a 14 or something.
most people can heal up completely from 2. im going to a 4, rest for a few months, then up to 1/2 in. probably better that way, i've got some sick 4 gauges that im excited to wear...
OK, US sizes are different to Euro ones, but I do know that a fairly average point for the lobes to permanently lose elasticity is somewhere around 10mm. Below that, most people can expect them to gradually snap back to their nomral size.
I've also heard an interesting way of "stepping down" to smaller gauges like we step up. As long as you take it very gradually and gently, this is supposed to work... You take the hole you want to shrink back down and stretch it ever so slightly, so that the hole rips just a little bit - enough to swell up. Then, instead of putting the next size plug in the ear, leave it empty. Repeat as necessary, but not too often. Since the swelling doesn't hit the blockage of the jewelry, your ear will attempt to repair itself back to normal. I haven't tried it, and I'm not counting on it, but I had a friend who used this process to step back down from a 1/2 inch. I think she ended up back with a 16g.
^^ Sounds iffy to me; isn't that just deliberately inducing blowouts? It will result in rather a lot of scar tissue which would be potentially hazardous to work with in the future.
