The short answer is "The buds". The long answer is two forums down in the "Processing Marijuana" forum. There is a "Stickie" there all about the drying and curing process. Slow down!!! By the time you get to the harvesting stage you will have had plenty of time to familiarize yourself with all the information you will ever need. Here's the most helpful tip for taking a speed-course in growing pot - READ ALL THE "STICKIES"!! In the main menu for the Marijuana Growing section there are several forums, each forum covers a different area of growing (Bogland, Breeding and Seed Strains, Greenhouses and Growrooms, Outdoors, Techniques, Processing Marijuana, etc.). When you open up each forum you find the differant Threads that talk about that subject. At the top of each list of threads are the "Stickies". The "Stickies" all contain vary important information, as such they stay at the top of the list. Some forums don't have any "Stickies". Just go down the list and read every "Sticky" - some will seem more helpful than others, that's OK. After an hour, or so, you will know a lot about pot!!! After you read all the "Stickies", start looking back through some of the older Threads, you will find a ton of information that has already been explained. There are no new problems - everything has already been asked and answered! Well, almost everything.
No problem - you just find some poor schmuck and let out all your troubles and woes. I've heard that yelling, really loud, even works better!!! But seriousely; a plant is a living thing and it must "breath". Basically the roots take up oxygen, out of the air, and the leaves take in carbon dioxide and "exhale" oxygen. Therefore an indoor growing space must supply a constant supply of usable air. The stealthy nature of indoor growing requires that air circulation be eliminated for odor control. Now we have a problem - how to isolate the growspace odor and provide a steady supply of fresh air at the same time. Ah-hah, venting!!! There are many ways this can be done. One way is to have an exhaust fan blow the "old" air out, through a duct of some sort (like a clothes dryer); to the outside. This removes stale air, odor and excess heat from the growspace - not a bad deal! As the "old" air is sucked out, "new" fresh air takes it's place. Some systems are a lot more elaborate - but that's the basics. Oh, by the way, this is just another topic that has been explained in great detail many times already. The answers are all here - "Seek and ye shall find"!
