Ohhhh hugs. A few times. When I had mono and my liver failed because of it. Another time when I flipped my car of the 76, which is this windey highway on a cliff with a huge valley below. I was a few yards from going off the embankment. I saw these gold fuzzy lights in front of me while I was rolling and everything turned white. I was okay with dying that time. My car rolled twice and I got up and walked out and my car was totaled. Someone or something was looking out for me. Another time I was diving on Santa Catalina and I had just had a couple pina coladas and because of that slipped off the rocks and hit my head. I couldn't move anything. I thought I was at least paralyzed. I ended up with a sprained neck and just a tiny skull fracture. I'm a lot more careful now!
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) does cause fast and irregular heartbeat. Been there, done that. Be careful with that stuff.
Years ago, I was making the first ascent of a steep ice couloir on a major American peak, leading up the middle of the couloir, when a refrigerator- sized rock started caroming from side to side down the couloir towards me and my climbing partner. I was in a small depression in the center of the couloir, and tried to make myself as small as possible as the huge rock descended onto me. I covered my head with my arms, and felt the wind as the rock brushed by my head. And then later on, after finishing the climb, I got hit by lightning on the descent...
when i had trouble with drinking...one night sticks out. one night, my friend just got back from a funeral and wasn't feel to good, and wanted to drink...so we went up to canada and got shitfaced. well, not only did i drink over a gallon of beer in less than an hour, somehow i left the bar and went into the parking lot and passed out. i was out there for over an hour before anyone realized i was missing. i was on my back the whole entire time. i could hvae drowned myself in puke....or i could have easily fell into the nearby river which was about 15 yards away...
yes one time this mexican dude beat the shit out of me because my brother owed him money or something. i was in like 6th grade and i seriously thought he was going to kill me. and another time during a shooting. people were killed and i still think it should have been me. and i have also thought other people were going to die when they really didnt. like when my mom had cancer i thought she was going to die but she didnt. and recently when my best friend started hemmoraging i thought she was going to die.
ohhh shit i forgot about this other time cinco de mayo last year hehe. this riot broke out and there was mass confusion and this reaaaaaaly fat guy named bed like fell and brought me down with him. i seriously thought he was going to smother me to death no joke.
ohhh and another time. when i was on acid and my house got raided. i had to hide in the trunk of a car with a blanket over me and that was like the scariest thing everrr. the worst thing of all is that i couldnt make any noise
Yeah trust me.....I know. I've done it 10+ times at dosages of 775mg and I kept coming back for more. Twas idiotic. It was interesting to see how far I could stratch my mind though; like voluntary schizophrenia.
one time i had an accident where a window smashed and ripped through my brachial artery and veins in my right arm. I lost two-thirds of my blood in one minute and had to be helecoptored. yea, i thought i'd die
I was in the bed of a truck when we hit a railroad crossing at 70mph. I was almost thrown out of the back of the truck and my head hit the back window of the cab and shattered it. I had a horrid concussion and the truck was almost ripped in half and my friend on the passenger side of the cab got a big gash in his side. Luckily(or unluckily) we were all on at least 8mg of alprazolam, so we don't remember it much and it didn't really phase us too much at the time, but it is also probably the reason we crashed.
I thought I was going to die when I got food poisoning a few years ago. Even after the hours upon hours upon hours of hurling my guts out, I didn't think I'd ever be able to eat again.
I've cheated death 4 times in my life... One time I had a near death experience after a massive head injury from a high speed mountain biking crash (no helmet), I saw that "life flashing before your eyes" thing and it was pretty cool actually... Another biking crash at high speed I lost a lot of blood and grayed out, and I was out in the bush about 30 miles from the nearest help and 5 miles from where I left my car but somehow made it back to the nearest rural hospital to get cleaned up. I was in a coma for 2 days from a drug overdose (pills and alcohol don't mix...) Also I lost control of my car at really high speed on a hiway off ramp but somehow got it under control again before I crashed...
