Psychoactive Toad?

I was out with a couple of my friends on Saturday night and they started talking about a toad that you can lick to get psychedelic effects. I had no clue what they were talking about and they were surprised. They acted like it was a really common thing. I found a little bit of info on wikipedia. I was just wondering if anybody had ever tried it and if it was a common thing.

No clue. I read that it was just a myth about the whole California thing. Who knows though? There is supposedly no documentation on it...

 

ya there is, i saw it on some movie that was shown in school last year.

 

Contains buffotine- the trip is apparantly similar to DMT but not the same- I've heard people never really come back- never done it myself and haven't researched it much. We get the same toad in australia- introduced from america to wipe out the cane beatle- now it's a devestating pest- cane toads (buffotine marinus) kill anything that eats it except humans- interesting I've read that DMT does the same, don't know if this is true though.

You don't lick the toads to get the effects.

What you do is buy a bufo alvarius, better known as a Colorado River Toad, and rub its venom glands and it will squirt out its "venom."

Let it crystallize.

The resulting compound will contain bufotenine (5-OH-DMT), 5-MeO-DMT, and N,N-DMT.

Smoke it.

Every month the toad will refill its venom glands.

You've got it made!

i have smoked toad venom numerous times. It is very powerful trip and lasts about 5-10 min.
5meodmt is similar but different than dmt
best way to put it is 5meodmt=dmt-visuals
it has the rush with out the major visuals that dmt gives you.

can't lick the toads. sorry, that one's a myth. the bufotenine and various tryptamines in the toad venom are not orally active. if you insist on oral consumption, you would have to eat some kind of MAO inhibitor a few hours beforehand. maybe harmaline. best move would probably be to do like someone said above, and extract the venom, let the extra shit evaporate, and get the crystals for smoking.

 

In Queensland those toads are everywhere, a complete pest damaging the australian environment. They're marching accross the country fucking up a new area each year, this is true- when they arrive in a new town golf club sales increase. Never been to Queensland but always hear stories about the kids and toads, and golf clubs and fire crackers, etc...,
They're fucking ugly bastards, and destroying our species of cute green tree frogs, as the cane toad tadpole is much bigger and the tree frogs cant compete.
Anyway, back to the subject-
Illusion25- if I smoke toad venom I should expect litte or no visuals at all?
Is the trip intense? Is it enjoyable from your experience?
I'm curious because at the end of the year I'm moving to Brisbane to buy a house and settle down- being in Queensland I will have an unlimited supply of psychoactive toads.
