Do you wash your hands after using the restroom?

Not unless i get some of it on my hands.

 

I can't remember the last time I washed my hands after going to the bathroom (#1).

I never touch my wang when I pee, so I don't see the problem.

 

Kind of an old subject... but, I do.. everytime. I also use my elbows to turn the water on/off and my sleve to get the paper towels out or open the door. I use my foot to flush, I also never go with the door open. I had a fit one time when my friend used the bathroom off my kitchen (the location of the bathroom bothers me enough) with the door open and flushed with the door open. AHH! I also go to extremes of wiping/spraying or somehow disinfecting phones/doorknobs... anything that is used or touched a lot.

Yes... a bit of ocd, but now I'm better than when I used to organize my remotes!

 

Public washrooms are gross, I try and avoid them all together

 

sometimes i wash my hands and sometimes i use hand sanitizer and sometimes i just run away lol

 

If I'm at home, and just peeing, then no. urine is sterile, and I'm more likely to wash my hands before to avoid getting bacteria that I've come into contact with during the day transferred to that which is down below.

If I've been out and about and get home, I wash my hands. I also wash my hands before cooking food for others if I'm going to be touching it a lot (I don't really bother when it's only for myself unless I feel my hands are dirty).

I don't like washing my hands in public toilets though... I mean I do it every time, but I feel almost dirtier afterwards. Especially with hand dryers, they are a perfect environment for bacteria because of the heat, and every time I dry my hands I feel as if I'm just getting blasted with bacteria. I should start carrying hand sanitiser aroung with me.

 

OH MY GOSH ... how can they support it when they dont wash their hands??
I wash my hands after:
-using the bathroom
-touching something sticky
-before breakfast lunch and diner and snack
-after breakfast lunch and diner and snack
-before sleeping
-when I get up in the morning
-before preparing food
-after preparing food
-before going to school
-when I come back from school
-when I get back home...wherever i was...
-and much more ... liike a billion time per day...even if no ones watching.... c ya around

ahhh i did tests in my science class the other week. ever since then ive been washing my hands even if i dont go to the toilet. im only worried about the bacterria but it doesnt really worry me, weve managed to survive thousands of years with the bacteria. but still. it just sickens me.

 

Always. I’m a nurse so I wash my hands a lot anyway but every year of training we did tests that showed the bacteria on your hands, it definitely works to encourage people to wash their hands.
Hate hand dryers though they are unhygienic and blow germs out into the air also leaving your hands damp encourages the spread of bacteria.

 

Most of the time I do...but I have been guilty of not washing my hands after I pee. But that's not typical, I'm way too much of a germ phob.

 

Yes always, I find it gross when I see people coming out of a public restroom without washing their hands, have they no shame or personal hygiene?

 

I'm happy to see I share the hip forums with other OCD handwashers! With all the contaminations that have been on the news in the past year I avoid restaurants and try to only eat frozen veggies/fruit......Also, When I was in in massage school my instructor was a former health inspector and she made me even more OCD ...

 

I basically always do. I get pretty obsessive-compulsive sometimes... especially about cleanliness.

I always wash my hands and when using a public restroom I use my paper towel to open the door handle afterwards! (I am a nurse, so I am very "anal" about washing my hands!!)

 

I always do...compulsivly and i wont leave the bathroom until my hands are completely dry. I never use hand dryers because (as someone said before) they just blow bacteria all over your hands. But I hate it when some places dont have paper towels, then it is usually trousers that do the drying haha.

I always wash my hands before I eat aswell....I am a bit of a freak with this thing.
I was even more of a freak when my mum and sister had the norwalk virus. I went to stay at my dads house for like 3 days and wouldnt let them come near me and didnt touch anything they might have...
But it worked, I didnt get it!
