I'm an "all purpose worker" and "assistant grower" in a network of greenhouses.

My job is awfully monotonous, but at least I get to work with plants.

I quit to go to Canada and visit Meg (moonjavaseed), last Summer, but we don't work Winter season.

It's seasonal work, really. Most people who work in the charter boat/fishing/tourism/commercial seafood industry around here often have something lined up for the Winter down in Florida or the Bahamas.

I build control panels for furnices that make artificial diamonds (like the thousands of tiny diamonds in rapper's "bling" but that are still as far as chemical properies go considered diamonds just not as valuable) Its pretty stress free, no uniform, work my own hours etc

hm i see. working with plants might be cool. i could never do the fishing thing must be really hard work. I just get bored so easily with everything, i have no idea what kind of job would really make me happy, so it's all to pay the bills at this point. damn bills.

i was just down in florida a few weeks ago. im planning on moving there sometime this year hopefully.

Actually, there's a girl who works with me there... she mostly stays on shore and does deskwork/phone, but she also takes care of all the aquaculture tanks... and goes out with us on occasion.

I like the kind of job where I can go outside without having someone say otherwise... or see the sunrise/sunset with an unobstructed view... or be on the water/go for a swim/feel the tradewinds.

yeah that does sound pretty nice.

around here i have to ask permission to get up and go to the bathroom. and being stuck in an office all day really does make you miss being outside...

Yeah, I know how it is. I'm trying to prevent it. I take it you're living life in a cubicle... somehow I can still relate.

That sounds like a good song idea that just clicked in my head, but now I don't want to go to my car and get my guitar... too damn cold and it'll be fine in the car so long as it doesn't have a quick jump in temps.
