Isn't any thought a Random Thought?

You never plan on thinking something before you think it. Doesn't that entail that all thoughts are random?

Thought is a mysterious thing...

 

no some thoughts are provoked by something making them not random. random thoughts are the thoughts that just go through your mind out of the blue.

 

Yes, but a thought that is provoked by something is provoked by something that is random. So therefore it's random.

Nothing is completely planned out.

Everything is completely random.

But that's just my opinion.....

 

All thought and speech is nothing more than commentary on the experiences we have or the circumstances that surround us.

 

Yes, everything is random and relative.

...but basing every belief on that notion just isn't fun.

 

And basing it on order is even more fun?

I like to think there is no order and we are just random and everything is connected in some random way that we will never fully understand.

I believe in the butterfly effect.

One random thing happens that makes a random thing happen that makes another random thing happen and so on and so on....

 

Nope, not order... but more philosophical explanation.

It doesn't require much thought to say that everything is random...

The real question is... why is thought random?

Plus, alot of natural occurances both in humans and other things are anything but random.

Philosophical explanation is something that I am aways searching for but I very rarely find one that satisfies me. Maybe I set the bar too high?

The real, real question is just Why? in general.

Why? is the never ending unanswered question.

Okay, mayhap everything isn't random, and maybe there is purpose but I think it's all distorted by perception.

One man's purpose is another man's random.

It's always worked for me.

 

Why? Has a very simple answer:

"Because!".

Lots of parents use it... you learn it with age

Not a good one anyhow.

Thoughts arnt random, everything you ever think, is a result of everything u've ever experienced combined with the chemicals in your body.

If you can imagine being able to acount for every partical through time in the universe you could make an equation to work out everything that will ever happen. In other words fate.

From our perspective, we will never be able to calculate every partical in the universe so everything seems random.
