its incredible how stupid people are actually getting,i was reading a global warming thread and i remenbered this religious girl that once told me that global warming wasnt true cause god wouldnt allow it...WTF! bitch are u fucking stupid!...i wish u drown in polar ice waters .another kid told me that i was gonna go to hell for doing drugs...i was like ...pshhh i dint even want to let out on him...the reason i like stoners so much is cause they are always open to anything..u can have a conversation with them about any subject and find answers ..but i find that with the rest of the world everyone is getting mad retarded, ignorance is spreading like a friggin disease, no one cares about their fellow humans ,no one wants to just live a peaceful life..its ll about getting rich, and seeing thugs on TV making fun of their ho's ,these days no one cares about ur personality anymore its what ur wearing and how badass u are..seriosly its pissing me off how we r just going down the drain ,i wish we can just go back to the basics........wooo just had to get that off my chest

Do you have a problem with stupidity or with religion? It sounds to me like your issue lies with those who have a strong religious tie and use it justify their beliefs (or form their global bteliefs around their religious structure, whichever the case may be). Both of your examples involve people who are rooted in their religious beliefs. As to the girl and global warming, that's her religiously founded belief that her "god" would not allow Global Warming. I presume she believes this because she believes god is all good and thus would not allow things that cause great harm to "his" people. Obviously she lives in a bubble because she'd realize the inherent flaws in her argument look to any great war. But remember why folks turn to religion. It often has to do with their desire to find understanding to the unknown. I personally that most religions brain wash their followers. I guess that's why religion truly is the opiate of the masses.

I have a problem with both, but its a personal problem and as such I don't spout shit about it to random people, but if they ask I can go off.

I'm about tired of being judged by my clothes. I know it will never stop, but everywhere I go for about the past two years I get snickers/looks/ murmurs. I don't do that shit to you people, so stop doing it to me.

I agree with you 100%. That's why more people should smoke!...though i have found a lot of ignorance on the MJ forum too...HAHA

I don't have any problem with religion, just most religions. The idea of a religion is great (a belief system to keep people feeling like they have somethin to live for), but most religions end up being corrupt and peolpe die over them, that is what I don't like. I have no problem if someone is a christian or a muslim or w/e, as long as they don't automatically say everyone else's oppinions are wrong. I have met a few religious peole who are open to new ideas and who take their religious writing as a human's interpretation of what their diety said/says, so they expect their to be flaws in the text due to human error. Those are the type of religious people I like, not the close-minded racists.

IMO the problem is alot of religions are rooted in the fact that the religion is the only correct religion. By default they are therefore denying all others.

"I guess that's why religion truly is the opiate of the masses."
just curious, if you dont want to say I would not hold it against you in any way, but what is your religious affiliation (or lackthereof) ? if you dont mind saying of course

who really doesnt want to know the meaning of life? The most empty possible feeling you can have is going through life with no purpose always wondering why you are here in this world- and burying this inside will only hurt in the end

you want to know the meaning of life? for you to end up 6 feet under and be aten by the worms.

i'm 100% with science, i've never followed a religion and never will, imo scientific evidence is just too strong to put "beliefs" over, and yes alot of science is only theories, but i'd perfer a educated hypothesis over a guess that the big man in the sky created this FANfuckintastic world, just to see his followers be happy.

I agree that science is awsome but science takes as much faith as religion.

Wow. That's just crossing another subtle line between using religion to justify your actions and using it to deny that you ever acted at all.

oh naw its cool man, I thought you were accusing me of taking no responsibility for the climate change. I apologize.

Yeah I hate how people are like, suggesting ways that we can change our lives, when they themselves still contribute to the pollution too, and then they somehow feel that they are exempted from the blame. If we all pollute, we all have to take responsibility.

Yeah, it's like even people who are willing to accept the idea that we are harming the earth can still believe that what they do, as one person, can't have any effect. Not that I'm exempt of course, but I try.

Welcome to HipForums and to the beautiful world of denial, nogganogga. One will make you happy with its kind members and open conversation, and the other will lure you with its lack of understanding and rarity of unappealing ideas. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Yes...I have a grasp on a lot of things. I like to try to keep informed (with the right information) on all issues and formulate my own oppinion to those that have questionable answers or that need individual oppinions formulated to be answered (like if religion is good or not, matter of oppinion).
