yea it was a disaster, but the mud and tears made it more memorable than a repeat of IT. Why did they not make a DVD??? Out of 13 hours of music I'm sure they'd have plenty of material to work with and half the thing would be people falling over in the mud and whatnot. and I know they had cameras because they broadcast the show all over America. Oh Vey.

i was glad to be apart of Coventry, but a DVD? not worth it. its almost impossible to listen to it on CD, let alone a whole DVD....i loved it, even thru all the bullshit, and there was alot of that. my feet were almost destroyed by the rock pathways....my soul was almost crushed, but i held strong and continued thru the weekend.....i almost cracked a few times...

The show itself was terrible; doubtful that they would release it.

It was all about the experience.

There were certain really bright moments at Coventry:

    1. "AC/DC Bag" to start off Saturday's second set. Trey really worked on taking the 20 minute jam somewhere and even though it never really climaxed, it did rise and fall in colorful ways.

    2. "Fire" to close out the first set. What made this really good was that the band went into the distorted noise section and then actually came out of it to finish the song.

    3. The band's individual comments to the fans -- their emotion was genuine and I was surprised they played as well as they did -- especially Page and Mike and Fish.

    4. Hurricane Charlie blowing over and sliding out to the east. The combination of the sky and the lights adn balloons and glowsticks made a feast for the eyes; It made up for some atrocious playing at times.

etc, etc. I listen to the shows every now and then, but other than a few tunes, for nothing more than nostalgia.

i had to buy it off livePhish because there were some gem moments in there......as Coventry said "Fire" was amazing. i mean, face melting, mind fucking-amazing......it was far more jammed out than any other time they attempted that song.......

the "steam jam" out of the "Split of Open and Melt" was also amazing....

it was something you had to be there for.....i actually didn't notice alot of the fuck ups at the show.....i would just get lost in the music and feel the emotion.....

i would do it all over again.
