    Hi,
this is my first post and I am wondering if it is O.K. to use the word "fuck"? Thanks, I'll leave it in. Here we go then.
About 40 years ago, I was a young dude trying to live in "straight" Australia. Man, was that crap! The girls with their bee hive hairdo's and the stupid blank faces that they painted on that morning, and the guys looking like poor copies of James Dean, drinking piss (beer),talking crap and really screwed up and violent... not all that different from present day straights when you think about it!
Then HIPPIES came on the scene. I thought "fuck (there, I said it) human beings at last!! Prior to identifying with the hippie world, I believed there was something wrong with me, but then I could see that the world of straights was only a distorted and dysfunctional way of interpreting life.
When I think about it,society has always been split into 2 groups - the hippie-like artists and free thinkers and the narrow minded and reactionary straights.
When I first saw this site, I thought it was a bit wierd to have hippies on the internet, but that was just the reaction of a hippie from the 60's. What is important is the hippie ideal of peace and freedom, and it does not matter if it is being communicated over a camp fire or over the internet.
Oh yeah, I'm an artist, greenie, into deep ecology and love animals.
Looking forward to a bit of a rave in cyberspace.
