ok. so somewhat recently, my younger sister got sick. i didn't want to catch it, and she didn't want it anymore. her teachers told her to eat garlic. so we chopped up and ate about 3 1/2 cloves each. maybe a little more. it was disgusting, i believe i described it as "satan sliding down my throat", "like eating death", and "it feels like a hundred little porcupines are shooting acid in my mouth". but it made me go all loopy. everything seemed to have a glow, and was insanely funny. it was kind of like being drunk, but a little livelier and goofier. my sister, who's younger and weighs less than me (so might have been affected more) swore she thought the lamp was talking, and spent a whole few minutes staring at the door in wonder. then we both got an intense desire to paint. i ended up making a pretty crazy picture . but my strange question is... what the hell happened? remember... it was GARLIC. the stuff we all have in our house that smells funky and keeps vampires away.
A friend and I were out in the woods with nothing to eat except a sack of gaint elephant garlic. We roasted whole cloves (which are about the size of a large apple) over a fire and ate a couple of them each. I kinda felt some wierd high from it, through the next day and everything tasted and smelt like garlic. It was a pretty strange feeling. Their are lots of natural medicine recommendations for the use of garlic for various treatments. Their are several active compounds in it.
i think i'm gonna eat some more sometime ... it was fun. aside from tasting like satan in plant form. i've never seen garlic the size of an apple... any reason you brought nothing but mondo garlic out into the woods?
We had pased through the town of Gilroy, CA and if you don't know it is the garlic capital of the world (or so they claim) and bought some garlic there. They call it elephant garlic because it is much bigger then regular garlic. We had other food, but had just eaten it all so all we had left was the big bag of garlic.
Yup, I've heard garlic can be a hallucinogen, but it's harmful in large doses, so be careful! I'd like to try it sometime since I don't have much access (money) to other legal or illegal things.
i'd have to be pretty desperate to want to get high by eating garlic just like that. EW. just thinking of it makes me want to puke. maybe its cuz its 7am too. but the whole story was funny...
whhaaataat, i love garlic, i eat it all the time and not ONCE have i ever tripped, what the hell kind of placebo effects you kids these days???
