Here is a thread, that I first posted on 'Random Thoughts'... A person there suggested that it would probably be better to post it at 'Philosophy and Religion', and I agreed. So - please - don't think I'm spamming all the forums with the following thread: ( ( :& ) )

I have always been seeing something rational in reincarnation, but I have also always regarded the idea that death is followed by birth quite naive. You're actually alive before your birth - so will you be reincarnated in the sperm cell or in the egg?

I've been reflecting so hard on all this... To be alive right now, and how life will be followed up, beyond the phenomenon only us lethal beings regard as "death".

I regard the theory of "complete darkness" more unuasal than a life after death, because consciousness only makes sense, if we define ourselves as souls penetrating the piece of flesh that we call "our body" - or "our brain".

Maybe God in fact is one unifying soul that penetrate anything, and our limited physiology is constraining our otherwise endless wisdom. Maybe our consciousness is in unity with the material of the whole universe, but we can't imagine, because we're prisoned by our bodies? We're not able to realize that we're the same spirit, because oir flesh is divided.

How if we simply 'jump' into an already exististing life after death? I mean... I'm sitting here, typing a thread right now, but maybe a dead person is reincarnated in me at this very moment. Maybe that's what happen when you die? You simply become someone else, and you don't ever realize that you're someone new. Suddenly you're just another person - just like that.

    Do you get me?...

i got ya man. more people have those kind of thoughts than you'd think. maybe it's just one dream to the next, vision after vision, preparing us for something completely new everytime, till we tire and seek liberation.

    yyyesiam and lunatic! :)

Thanks for your replies. When being alone with a thought that everbody else in your physical environment apparently consider as insanity, it's very nice to be confirmed - not for my own sake only - but first and foremost because that your similar philosophies are proving that it's something else than my individual phantasies - that it's actually making sense.

    yyYes-you-are! :)
And being a lunatic is no shame! ;)

it's a widely accepted theory that a soul can hop into the body of a person after they're born....these souls are called "walk ins" - it often occurs when the host body is left vacant by the soul that occupied it, whether from physical illness or severe trauma....the universe thinks it's a shame for a good body/vehicle to go to waste when there are so many deserving souls that need to come back for whatever reason

you'll find this phenomenon a pretty regular thing in pets/animals, as an animal has no problem sharing its body with another animal spirit - this is often how our beloved pets return to be with us :)

a good book on this subject is "strangers among us" (i think that's the title)....although now i do snicker a bit when i pass a salon that says "walk-ins welcome" LOL! :D

I mean... We're all living creatures in the Universe at the same time.
Right now we're all souls of any living creatures in Andromeda, but our limited physics allow no metaphysical awareness.

Physical awareness allow only awareness of one individual each moment. I am me, but in fact I am also you. But only you realize it. So we can never reach eachother...Our physical manifestations keep us away from awareness.

Only death will, but our death will immediately turn into another physical manifestation. Our floating souls are magnets to physical constraints. The reason why we can't reach God, is because God is a mechanism embedded in our souls.

The only thing that you can't see through your eyes are your eyes. God is your eye.

i think if you look more through your own eyes, that sort of dogmatic thought about the limitations of the physical have no bearing. where is the physical, when looking through your own eyes, and not through concepts that you have heard of or formed yourself?

The concepts that are forming me are embedded in physical conditions lying outside the physical limitation of my body.

What I see through my eyes is a construction. I fully agree. That how I interpret what I experience through these eyes is constructed by physical conditions (societal, random, whatever, etc...) somehow just confirm that you're a spirit constrained by physical limitations.
