i nearly got arrested againnn

last night. =|

well it's my birthday soon so me and 2 friends decided to go to a small gig. we had some booze and all got a bit merry.

anyways we got out and were all in a really good mood as we just had a brilliant time. we started walking home, all linking arms towards my house which was a few mins away. we talked to a few people we recognised in the streets.

my friend had high heels on so she found it hard to walk.. one second later i get a tap on my shoulder. a female pig says 'you're drunk. we're taking you'. i said that i was on my way home and with two friends so i was safe and i had no alcohol on me. they didn't even search my bag. the pig said she didnt care and if i didnt go with her she'd arrest me. she then dragged me away from my friends. i don't understand why it's always the female pigs who do this..

they took me to the pig van and shooved my inside. they thought that i was on drugs as my pupils were dialated... i said 'no, there is low level light'. they kept pestering me to what i'd had, so i said a small amount of orange and vodka.. stupid of me. yeah so then they try to get me to spit into a cup but i was really nervous/ dehydrated so i couldnt, i tried though. they kept saying to each other, 'oh look she's refusing to do the test'. one sec later my best friend called dot also joins me in the pig van. in the end they just drove us both home.. now i'm going to be grounded for months and it's just going to cause loads of unwanted shit with my family.. yeah so now i have to go back to the police station in february.. fun fun.

i have a reprimand which is on my files as i was once arrested before and put in a cell for hours, then went on bail. i don't know what's going to happen now..does anybody know what they'll do to me?

i didn't do much wrong though, i was just walking home from a gig with a few friends. it's not like i was going around killing people.. don't the police have anything better to do nowadays?

apparently they were arresting people/ taking details down of all the kids hanging around. my other friend called anya nearly got an ASBO, even though she was sober walking home with a friend and had nothing on her. a police officer came up to her and shooved a video camera in her face asking all her details, she had a panic attack and got really scared. soo, a police women said that if she was seen there again she would get an ASBO.. even though she was just walking home from a gig! wtf!!!

i hate [most] police. some are nice..

and sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum.. i was going to put it in 'busted' but i didnt actually get arrested in the end so yeah..

so what did everyone else get up to last night?

 

got blazed. made fun of people in front of 7-11 with other blazed friends, got asked to leave by police, chilled with homeless dudes by dunkin donuts, asked to leave by police again, walked home (12 degrees F), fell asleep in my kitchen eating cereal, woke up at 4 am, went upstairs to bed, woke up at 8a (sat) blazed again, showered, got on hipforums, now leaving for class (11a)

J/p, anyways, all cops are fucking control freak idiots. No matter what country your in. Well, good look with the turn out of all this.

yeah most police suck, i have met a few nice ones though... my respect for them is deteriorating quickly though.

ooh yeah, they told my school as well which will be amusing as im seen as one of the 'good kids' there.

 

hahaah I know how you feel, I was found passed out behind a local library once and arrested/taken home. also by a female cop.....only she patted me down, and I know she felt my pipe in my pocket but in stead , even th o I was wasted, I remember going wtf did you jus touch my balls? to this day I beleive she did hahaha. my buddy said she was hot but I think he drank more than I did. Thats random tho they jus pulled you off the street and said you where drunk.

 

what an asshole cop! I've met quite a few of those, and I've been searched a couple times and pulled out of class when I wasnt even high, just tired. The dude was like "you drink? you smoke?" and I was like "no" and yeah. What an asshole. Last night I got high, and saw Pan's Labryinth, that movie was the SHIT

 

aahh shouldn't have told them you drank. without that they couldn't do anything to you. but now they might try to tell you and your parents that you need alcohol counciling or something stupid like that. I can imagine how frustrating that must have been

 

Cops hate fun, they seek it out and destroy it, like sharks to blood.
Seriously I've been stopped by a few cops and questioned when I was drunk and singing irish drinking songs with my friends, we learned to just act perfectly calm and normal when we see cops, and the second they disappear, we start our drunken songs again.
But ya I treat the cops like they are a gang that just wants to cause you trouble (cause they are) So just avoid them like they are some crack dealing punks.

 

if a cop pulls u over and says ur drunk.just tell her that u aint..but u did drop 20 tabs of acid..lol ..please dont do that..anyways if a cop does that to u explain u aint..if he ask's u anything about what u where drinking or smoking tell him u pread the 5th and to bring u a breathalizer...and ALWAYS! ask the question 'am i free to go" she cant stop u unless she has proof.

ah yeah my other friend, the one with heels, is now grounded until fucking march. grrrr. everything was going so perfectly. and now it's all fucked up again. :|:|

i think we should all make a happy drug with no bad side affects.

 

Did they charge you with any thing? What did they tell your parents? Can you say they just droped you off at home cus it was passed the curfew?

 

they havent charged me with anything yet, i have to go back in a few weeks to find out what'll happen to me.
and nah i cant say that, they said to my parents that i was drunk etcc.

There are only like 4 cops in the island of suburbia that is my town. I didn't have much respect for them to begin with as they spend all their time busting drunk kids because they're bored, but I lost all of it early last fall. Some friends came in the door at like midnight on a weekend asking if I wanted to walk the 2 miles into the main part of town for something to do. We were just getting past the outskirts when a cop pulls up and asks us what we were doing. I instantly thought of Ray Bradbury's story The Pedestrian about a guy that gets arrested for walking at night because it's seen as suspicious to not be at home watching TV. He took all our information and told us we could go.

Last night I split a big bowl with a friend to relax and went to see Smokin Aces with a bunch of people. I get the munchies really fast and really easily so I powered my way through a big popcorn. Then we went to Walmart (evil! not my choice) so some people could buy some Nerf guns because we've been having a bunch of random nerf fights recently.

 

Meh this is juvinial stuff, In two years you will laugh at all of this. Hell laugh at it now, its nothing.

A) They can't charge you with anything if they didn't arrest you. You can't be on bail if they didn't arrest you so why do you have to go back there?

B) As you're 16 they don't need to inform your folks if you are arrested so they had no legal right to tell them you were pissed, especially if they didn't arrest you.

C) It's not illegal to be drunk in public as long as you're behaving in an orderly fashion regardless of age. If you're under 18 you can still posess alcohol perfectly legally just can't buy it/drink it in the street (behind closed doors is fine though).


If you feel you and your friends were unfairly singled out for whatever reason (clothes, age, race etc etc) then get in touch with The Independent Police Complaints Commission http://www.ipcc.gov.uk/ about the way you have been treated. If you've told the whole story it sounds like you've been mistreated and picked on as at no point have you broken any laws, unless you were being rude/cocky with them or one of your friends was paralytic in which case they could probably pull you up on something minor & irrelevant.

Make a noise about it and complain, don't let Neo-Labour's police state bullshit 'crime prevention' tactics be used any more than they already are. If they made a video of you and your friends then request a copy. If they have taken your fingerprints, photo, dna etc then make sure you ask them to remove you from their database if you have not been arrested/charged. Whether they'll listen or not is a different subject but don't let them add your details to the Database State's list of 'innocent people who might do something naughty one day' without a fight.

Bleh I dunno, maybe I'm talking shit....

wow. are you sure it's legal to be drunk, underage in a public area? we weren't causing a scene or being cocky, we were just on our way home.

i'm not 100% sure why i have to go back either. they're probably going to talk about what happened, and i have a feeling i'm going to have to speak to a social worker.

it just annoys me how they were just picking up random teenagers from the street, they were all fully aware that we just came out of a gig.. it's like they're trying to find any excuse to get young people in trouble/ arrest them/ give them asbos.

thanks for your help, i'm going to make a complain. my dad is also pissed off at the police, so i have an adult on my side which is helpful.

My friend kept getting pulled over in his car cause the cops thought he had weed, they pulled him over about 6 times before he complained cause he had shit all on him each time. Since then he hasn't been pulled again, but has also quit all drugs/alcohol.

I am yet to be arrested here (In Nottingham) but i have been stopped and had my details taken many a time. Once for swinging round a lamp post, seriously.
I feel relatively safe when it comes to my parents, depending on the crime obviously, my dad is completely liberal in politics, he is a member of No2ID(and you should be to!) and is going on some anti-war march soon.

I think we have it better than America in terms of our police, but generally, yes they take the piss and no you shouldnt have been stopped at all really, im suprised they did as you're girls and the police usually see girls and do nothing where as they'll be all over a group of males like a hot rash.

Complain, skin up, smoke.
