I want to join a Rainbow Clan but I am from Ireland. I hate my current way of lifestyle, (on anti-depressants and everything) and want to live the way I want to live.

    Where can I go?

I met a brother in Yorkshire who told me about a hippy community called Cool Mountain, about 40 kilometers east of Cork.

p.s. if you know a girl named Anne Marie, tell her I said hi

it's in Dunnmanway West Cork, The name is from old Irish (Gaelic to us Americans) and really means cool as in not quite warm.
It was started by some of the old Gaskin "Farm" folks in the 70's.
And still has some hippies there... The Irish don't really have Gatherings like we do in America.
And Cool Mountain was mostly Eruro hippies not Irish hippies.
Cool mountain is not really Rainbow but some of the folks you find there have been to European Gatherings, there is a Vegetarian restaurant in Cork that you may have more luck in finding out Rainbow info.

There are a few Organic farms in West Cork but those are businesses.

The one Gathering I went to in 95 (County Tip far from Cool Mountain) was held on private property and things like shitters and calm/mash were non existent, lots of alcohol and techno. Some
Hippies over there are called crusties they trap their children into
vans and busses and smoke copius amounts of hash mixed with tobbaco
and have no idea that it may cause lung damage to the little ones.
They do not understand the difference between a "rave" and a gathering.
Think annoying super fast dico with a thump like sound that can be heard for 5 miles.(thats techno or dance music)
No, not a drum cirlce, more like a meth addict with a sound system to rival the Who and Greatful Dead combined...(meaning as loud or louder but lacking in talent or meaning)..quite litterally if you camp 5 miles away you can not get any sleep.
Burningman is quiet compared to an Irish Gathering.

So if you do make it to Cool Mountain be prepared to not find anyone who knows anything about Rainbow, or you might find someone on there way to one.

The great thing about the place when I was there was how nice everyone was and all the great musicians living there

They do mean well and believe in peace and love though.
They have heard of American Gatherings and I pray they make it to one someday.

Hardly anyplace to have them, no public land, only private land.
public land for camping is around but nothing they would really allow
    a real rainbow at.
